Smart Hub pretends to be the payment platform for your oil/gas company when you're establishing a new account with who you believe is your power company. The power company told me this is a common scam they see, and Smart Hub uses fake websites that mimic local power companies' websites. They even provided me with my meter number/account number from my power company - the power company said they've had several people that this company has targeted and taken money from. When you call SmartHub they offer to refund your money, but ask for more identifying info to do so - they're listed online as a website design company and when you ask about that, they say that they have lots of different companies, the web design is just one and what shows up on billing statements.
