A family member recently failed to pay for the domain name of his resort hotel. Porkbun LLC, at least according to our whois.com search, bought the domain name sometime in September 2024. I have been notified today that the website now has new content. (A friend of mine was trying to book a room.) When he saw the website, as you will see if you are going to check it, that it is now a prostitution site using several languages. But it mostly makes it appear like it is Russian. We immediately assumed that Porkbun bought the website as a hostage because when people now look for our hotel, they will be led to a prostitution site thereby making us look bad and destroying the reputation of our business. While we know that Porkbun wants to sell domain names, this isn't right. Kindly take a look into this as we have no intention of buying it from them but would rather let them do the right thing and remove their illegal content. They can just say that they are selling the site. Should they be compelled to give it to us for free, they can just send us a link as we will not allow ourselves to be in direct contact with these kinds of characters.
