SIPI Engineering and Dropbox Shipping Scam

Both Places SIPI Engineering and DropBox Shipping are SCAMS. Beware! So called company from Houston has a job that needs our services (metal finishing) for a job that ends up going a couple ours from here. Has to be transported with a courier that can load their own truck, DropBox shipping. SIPI sends us a fake ACH transfer receipt and is in a big rush to get the job done because they are behind and want me to schedule the pick-up for later that day. DropBox Shipping needs a wire transfer to make it happen. Thank goodness for our local bank lady that suspected a scam. She was correct. Both addresses are BS. They didn't get me, but it was close. A reminder that there are just some evil and lazy people out there. Be Careful.

Two years ago, a business associate lost several thousand dollars in the same type of scam that I just got. The fake company, Sipi Engineering, emails a request for quote fora substantial amount of exactly the kind of work we do. They claim their customer is within 3 hours from our facility and they would ship the parts from their Houston facility. The scammer asked my associate to prepay, Dropship Shipping, which is a fake company. My associate demanded a downpayment, which was paid by credit card, and as soon as he paid the fake shipping company, the scammer reversed the credit card payments. The email I received is exactly the same.

Was contacted through website Quote Request feature regarding a large project requiring our services. States they are 3 hours away in Houston, TX, but we are in Las Vegas, NV (not 3 hours). Quote was provided with 3 scales of pricing, customer selects the highest scale & says first delivery will come in the next 48 hours. Felt fishy immediately due to disparity in customers stated name and obvious foreign accent. Did some due diligence visiting their website, on the surface it looks legit until you dig in further and it’s just a bunch of word salad and false numbers. Google Sipi Engineering & customers stated name & find zero information despite their websites claim to 900+ employees & thousands of projects around the globe. Checked the address in the signature line through Google maps and it leads back to a call center in Houston, TX. Everything points to scam, but we haven’t given any private information or provided any funds for anything, just my time putting together this quote and communicating with Sipi Engineering. Next day we receive a follow up email asking us to have “Dropbox Shipping” (scam company as well) quote the freight from

Texas to our facility then from our facility to the job site. I immediately searched “Dropbox Shipping” on Google and found other ScamPulse.com scam reports using the same methodology, location and very similar company name (duls engineering / www.dulseng.com). Red flag, full stop.. scammer.
