The website business Simple.biz called me after they saw me searching for a website builder. Richard at 689-228-4886 contacted me promising to rebuild and update my website for $595 initial payment and $99 per month. He called me from another number, 888-306-7135, stating he works from his garage and that his assistant ([email protected]) will charge me. On 9-2-24 they charged me $399.00 as a down payment to build the entire website and said that Maggie ([email protected], 407-505-6391) will manage the account for $99 month to oversee the website. They took the $399 charging $200 additional on sport gambling website and no website was completed. I tried to contact them on 9-16-24, 9-20-24, 9-23-24, 9-28-24 and 10-1-24.

- East Wenatchee, WA, USA

I was contacted multiple times by the assistant of a so-called "website builder" named Bob Hansen (or Hanson) from a company called Simple.Biz, https://www.simple.biz/, located in Spokane, WA, and Vancouver, WA. I was unsure whether I should discuss anything with them right away, so I made a follow-up appointment and looked up the information given to me in voicemails, caller ID, and in person. On our organization's voicemailbox, the phone number (509) 319-2335 was left to return their call, and on our caller ID, (509) 214-1884. The number ending in 2335 was disconnected.

After looking up the disconnected line, I saw that there were several complaints about Bob H. and his scam attempts to help small businesses build websites. Apparently, Bob's real name is Robert Selfers, and he has had fraud charges in other states. I called the number on their website, (888) 207-7023, and the same assistant answered. I told her to cancel our meeting as I was no longer interested; everything looked way too phishy.
