My stepdad ordered a set of four tires off of Ebay back in January (around January 23rd, 2024). His bank statement shows that the money was taken out on February 5th and February 7th. I copied and pasted the email used, and the person (assuming someone from China) starts the email as "Hello dear customer" with no punctuation or correct capitalization. They also end the email by saying, "Do not worry," which are red flags to me.
I immediately had a feeling that it was a scam, and I've told them last time that it was probably a scam. I found myself in a scam in 2017, so I'm a lot more cautious now.
The tracking number provided (in a previous email) is translated from China and shows that it's based in China. The recent email my mom and step-dad have received (March 23rd, 2024) says that the tires were delivered on March 18 (2024), but they haven't been delivered. Nobody around us (all family) have said that they have seen the tires get delivered.
While trying to confirm that I was right and that it was a scam, I used your website, I used the Malwaretips.com website, and WHOIS. On WHOIS, it seems to confirm that this website is a scam.
