Type of a scam: Tax Collection

From 9:24 a.m. to 3:12 p.m. I received six phone calls with the same recording saying that Service Canada was going to take me to court if I didn't pay the taxes owing. For five of the calls after listening to the beginning of the recording I blocked the number on my phone. All of the calls came in with different phone numbers. When the sixth call came, I listened to the end of the recording and pressed "1" as instructed to talk to a representative. He had a very heavy accent and said he was from Service Canada. I told him that this was as scam and not to call again. He hung up.

This number called and threatened that I had been identified as stealing money from the government and would be expected to report to the Canadian Magistrate, but I could reverse this by clikcing ONE to speak to a Service Canada Officer. I clicked one and the female agent identified as a Service Canada Officer, but would not disclose which location and the scammer promptly disconnected the call.
