Gather 'round my fellow skeptics, I have a personal experience to share:

The price I paid was $2000 less than anywhere else. Their process was rapid! Their communication skills were spot on. I'd email them with questions (and paranoid "what ifs") that came to mind, and their responses were immediate, thorough and put my concerns to rest. Even the independent carrier that delivered the car was friendly, efficient and cautious with the handling of my car. When I asked him his opinion of SE Motors, he simply called them, "the best"...

So what's the catch? Things were going much smoother than expected, somethings gotta go wrong... Nope. SE Motors contacted me later that day confirming the payment and the delivery of the car.

Coming from a guy who has worked his entire life in/among the auto industry and has seen every trick in the book, take my advice... Give SE Motors a try, because they have TRULY revolutionized the automotive purchasing/selling experience!

One of the best features of this program is not having to deal with arrogant general sales managers. All SE Motors personnel from sale to delivery are extremely courteous. They are very fair with their trade in allowance program. Any issues are resolved promptly. SE Motors works hard to get your business and even harder to keep it. I am a satisfied, repeat customer!

We saw SE Motors's Ebay ad for a 2018 PORSCHE 718 BOXSTER GTS. There were many pictures and it looked really good. We had been researching & driving various T & C cars and knew this listed price was excellent, several thousand below the Kelly Blue Book price. After reading numerous reviews from others & talking with a helpful person from SE Motors, we decided to buy the car. Everything was handled professionally & promptly over the phone and through the mail. It all went smoothly. The car was shipped free from Dallas to Nashville with a full tank of gas. The pictures were true. The car was in wonderful condition inside and outside. It must have been owned by a senior couple who garaged it and pampered it. The interior is 99% like new & looks almost showroom perfect. Everything works and it is LOADED with goodies and power features! When I first drove the car on the interstate it seemed to have a slight vibration like one or two tires out of balance and the steering wheel was not directly straight up. I merely mentioned it to them in an email and they contacted me back and sent a $100 check for tire balancing and aligning the front end! We have been very, VERY pleased with this purchase and have told others about SE Motors. My wife LOVES her "new" car and so do I. Thank you SE Motors for a wonderful product at a fantastic price!

You can really tell the caliber of a dealership, we drove up from San Antonio to purchase a 2016 Macan S. We had been working out a deal by phone. I normally do not buy from dealerships. SE Motors is the exception. I also value the warranty. This is enough time and mileage to correct any major problems the car may have.

Let me start by saying this was the BEST car buying experience I have ever had and I don't see myself ever buying a vehicle from anyone else. I was in the market for a 2019 Chevy Silverado. I love the new look, and I test drove one at a car show and I fell in love with everything about it. So naturally when I was ready to buy I searched the web for the best deal. I came across a Silverado with 1400 miles for what seemed to be one of those deals that was too good to be true. At first I was very skeptical as to why someone other than a Chevy store had a new silverado... I also did not believe the price it was (10,000 cheaper than the one I was looking at on Chevrolet.com that I built with same options) so I knew something had to be wrong. I was very pleasantly surprised when I called SE Motors Group to be greeted by a very kind and responsive person. I asked about 4 questions and everyone was answered except for one thing but Brian did not lie to me about it he said "he didn't know the answer but he would find out and call me right back." I was amazed he called me back in less than 5 minutes and gave me the accurate information I was looking, for he also informed me about a deposit I could put on the car so I could guarantee the vehicle would be there the following day for me to see it. I felt comfortable enough after talking with him to put a 500$ fully refundable deposit on my new truck, so it would still be there the following morning when I could make it to the dealership for an appointment. I felt like I was dreaming because the next day when I showed up at 1030 they had my vehicle pulled up fully detailed and ready for me to take home. I drove it around the block it was nicer in person then the 40+ pics looked online and more importantly every person I interacted with was extremely courteous and very pleasant to be around. When it came to the numbers they sold me the truck for the price as advertised, gave me a very fair price for my trade. Then I went to finance and everything was very clear and explained all the way through. I even bought a 84 month 100k mile extended warranty for 1400.00, which I never buy, but it covered a lot of breakdowns for what seems to be very cheap. I love SE Motors Group and I will send everyone I know to buy a car from them. I will be a customer for life. This is truly the only way to buy a car

My overall experience was very good. I truly believe that this is the wave of the future. Individuals are buying and selling cars this way already, why can’t dealerships do the same?
Having it delivered to me was just the icing on the cake. Once I had selected the wrangler I wanted the whole process was streamlined and SE Motors associates were competent and easy to work with. The paperwork was as easy as you can make it.

I am so glad that I purchased my vehicle from SE Motors! No commissions for sales people. The price was listed $3000 below another vehicle at a dealer close to my home that actually had less miles (which really proves that local dealerships rip you off). The customer service reps were very informative and I barely ever waited on hold. The delivery process was very good and seamless and I actually got my car two days before the estimated delivery date. And to top it all off the car came with practically brand new tires which provided me an additional savings that I was not expecting but very pleasantly surprised to see.

As a first time car-buyer I was pretty nervous so I visited multiple dealerships to test drive and spent hours online searching through auto-trader, carmax, etc. before I finally made a decision. SE Motors had the exact make and model I wanted for the best price I could find anywhere. I was hesitant to buy online but their customer support team made the buying process as seamless as possible. It was also great because I didn't feel the pressure to buy that I felt when I had visited dealerships in person! I got a service contract with my vehicle and had a third-party multipoint inspection done the day I got it to make sure everything was in good shape before the end of the 7-day test drive period. Work needed to be done to replace the break pads and rotors, but it was mostly covered by the service contract and SE Motors sent me a check to take care of the extra expenses that weren't explicitly covered. They takes care of the title transfer, registration, and license plate so I didn't even have to go to the DMV! All of the customer service reps I've worked with have been very helpful and I would highly recommend this company to any potential buyer. If you need to buy quickly and without any hassle, I highly recommend SE Motors. The experience was a new one for me, so I was extremely apprehensive about the process, but it turned out to be safe, quick and easy. They did everything just as they said they would.

The whole process took about 5 business days. They kept in contact with daily morning updates. When they received my funds, they called the same evening they got it to prepare me for delivery. Within a day, they sent me an email with my expected delivery date. I am highly pleased with my 2017 Wrangler. It’s everything they said it would be and more! I would definitely recommend SE Motors to anyone looking to purchase a POV with no games or surprises.

Save allot of time and headache, they did in one week what I was not able to do in 2 months, and also found me a Tesla Model S after at a great price, so I would definitely recommend this company to anyone in the market for an used car.

I just sold my 2018 subaru crosstrek to SE Motors. the whole transaction is very smooth, they have reply to every single email, because of some of the bad review, so i have follow up with them every single step. and they did reply to every email on each step. I had the best price and very easy transaction. I believe no matter who you deal with, you need to follow up to make sure! The only issue is they don't know the car pick up company schedule and they do give you a very short notice!

Summary: Bought a 2015 Model S from this Company. It had less than 10k miles and was in great condition, it looked better in real life than in the pictures.

Value: The car was significantly cheaper than any dealership in a 250 mile radius. Test it out, ask other dealers to match the price (they likely won't be able to).

Risk: My primary concerns throughout the process were (1) will it arrive in good condition, (2) will there be any hidden surprises, (3) will the delivery be a pain. The outcome for me was everything was a good experience and none of my concerns came true.

Advice: You can only buy the car by wiring the money ($30 bank fee sometimes). I wasn't paying attention and sent a certified check by USPS mail instead of doing the wire transfer. It was foolish because if the check got lost, it could have cost me 2-3% of the car cost to cancel the check w/ the bank. It also prolonged the timing of receipt by a week. I would recommend wiring the money to be safer.

I saw a copy of Carfax before I singed the contract, verifying no accidents and the remainder of the factory warranty, and that sold me.

This was my first experience purchasing a vehicle online. It was nerve wracking and scary. The process to purchase the vehicle was quite pleasant. It has been nothing but a positive experience. I would highly recommend SE Motors to my family and friends. I would also purchase another vehicle in the future.

Outcome: The car arrived as expected and ahead of schedule. SE Motors did a great job of communicating with me throughout the process. While the seats appeared greyish in the pictures they came are definitely darker black in real life. I was pleasantly surprised since I wanted darker seats but the lighting must have been misleading. Very pleased with the purchase and would definitely do it again.

Had a very simple and fairly quick experience with SE Motors. I don’t think I could have gotten a better price for exactly what I was looking for. The sales associates were quick to respond and weren’t pushy at all. They do a good job taking orders and outlining all of the options.

I was initially hesitant to go for an online dealership. But their process is so smooth and secure. Staff was extremely polite and professional. And whenever I raised a point it was addressed on priority and I was kept informed throughout the process. I strongly recommend it. Their rates are extremely competitive with the market, in fact I got the best rates for what I got as compared to any other car selling website. I am very satisfied with the business I did with SE Motors and I look forward to get back to them in future as well.

I like the 7 day test period they offer as well as their own warranty included.

They even called to just tell me each day they talked to the car carrier and things were on track, EVERY day. They then told me when it would arrive and that morning the driver called me and asked me where I wanted to meet to pick up my car. Car was amazing, perfect condition, and I could not be happier.

This is how purchasing a vehicle should be! No tricks, good solid transparency, and they actually followed through with everything they promised! After being screwed over by so many local/regional dealerships, I am so happy that I took the chance on SE Motors!

Overall great experience, and if my next vehicle is used, I will definitely consider SE Motors again.

Here's a quick review (and suggestions) of my SE Motors buying experience:

Pros:
- Quick & simple process
- No high-pressure sales tactics
- Fixed pricing that's below KBB
- Very easy to navigate website & find specific vehicle info
- CarFax/AutoCheck availability (FWIW)

Cons:
- Logistics
When buying online, people need to feel reassured that their purchases will reach them when they expect them. SE Motors can significantly improve in this area by utilizing transports that have tracking capabilities (maybe this is coming when they have their own fleet?). There doesn't need to be specifics as to where the transports stop, but it would be nice to see the path they take to reach their destination, and the approximate time of arrival. This is key, as most individuals will need to arrange time off from work/school/life to accept delivery. Also, SE Motors should require the delivery of vehicles happen during daylight hours only (except at recipient's request). Nobody wants to check out a vehicle that they paid for, sight-unseen (aside from pictures), in the dark with a flashlight.

- Communications
Online purchasing has come a long ways, and one of the key factors in this is proper and timely communications. Asking questions via the Zendesk portal or via email should not take hours or days to elicit a response. I don't think it's unreasonable for most reps to respond within 10-15 minutes, especially with today's connected workforce. If the salespeople can do it, so can the back-office staff. Another thing to note is business hours; if SE Motors's support staff is available until 8:30PM, their logistics/transportation department should be available as well. When calling with concerns after ~5PM Central, nobody is around, and that adds frustration when trying to resolve problems.

All in all, I'm satisfied with the vehicle that I purchased, and will likely shop SE Motors's site for future vehicle needs.

I don 't write a lot of reviews for companies. I wanted to write this to share my experience with purchasing a vehicle from SE Motors Group. While I had a good experience, your mileage may vary.

I purchased a vehicle from SE Motors Group in January of 2018. Although it took longer than I had originally thought to get the vehicle from Texas to California, it eventually arrived in more or less good shape. There was one slight problem which I had not even noticed at the time (due to the angle of light and my own excitement at finally taking delivery of the vehicle: the front windshield glass was cracked.

I phoned SE Motors Group's customer service department, expecting to have to fight to have this issue resolved, as I had not mentioned it when taking possession of the vehicle a couple of hours earlier. There was no problem at all. I was advised to seek out three bids from local glass shops and after doing so, I had the windshield replaced for free. No hassle at all!

Fast-forward to the end of May, 2018. My vehicle was struck by another vehicle which resulted in my vehicle being totaled by the insurance company. Thanks to the strong pricing of SE Motors Group, I was able to avoid having to take much of a hit at all from this, as the vehicle turns out to be actually worth more than the SE Motors Group sticker price. So, after accounting for the monies which I put up front as a down-payment (and from which SE Motors Group took its cut for "documentation" - though that may have been perhaps a bit high. I am not entirely certain to be frank.), I basically managed to break even. I may even come out of this about 100$ ahead, when the final check is cut and the vehicle is paid off with my bank.

SE Motors Group will feature prominently in my search for a replacement vehicle.

Decided to write a review now that I've completed the process with SE Motors Group. I was terrified after reading all of the negative reviews but I must say my experience was great! I purchased from SE Motors Group through USAA's car buying service so I figured if USAA used them I would give it a try. The process is pretty straight forward. Once I found the car I wanted a SE Motors Group rep called and I put the $500 deposit down. A SE Motors Group rep told me up front that their financing couldn't compete with my USAA rate which I appreciated instead of running my credit again. You have to send them a copy of your insurance cards and DL at this point so you might as well have that ready. I did this over the weekend and on Tuesday all of the paperwork/contract was emailed over to me. You use docusign for everything so that made it pretty convenient. I did change my down payment amount at this point and they emailed me a new contract within a couple of hours. I already had my dealer funding request from USAA so I sent them that and my money wire for my down payment that day and got an email confirmation that everything was in order the same day. They moved the car to "sold" status and took it down from the website. I was told up to 14 days for delivery but I ended up getting my car on Friday- 3 days after paperwork was completed! I got emails every day at this point and phone calls keeping me up to date on delivery. Keep in mind the car came from TX and I live in IL so I was very pleasantly surprised. I did take the day off work but my driver did show up within the 2 hour window SE Motors Group gave me. The one thing I did not like was my car showed up with 60 extra miles on the odometer than what my contract said. The bill of lading had the correct mileage so I did sign off. I emailed SE Motors Group about this and they did not respond. This could potentially be an issue as you only can drive 250 miles in that 7 days. During the 7 day test drive I took the car to my mechanic and they signed off that all routine maintenance was done and the car looked good. After the 7 days they sent me an email that it would be 2-6 weeks to receive my title. They emailed me 3 weeks later and said they were FedExing the documents. I received them at my house 2 days later. All in all I would recommend SE Motors Group but a couple things to keep in mind. You need to know what you want! The 499 shipping fee is non-refundable so do your research. Might not be for you if you need a car asap. They keep you updated but it is not going to be like going to the dealership and leaving with a car same day. Also, these are USED cars. They are going to have imperfections. This should be expected. Mine has one minor scratch on the trunk and I will probably get the interior detailed but I got a 2018 Dodge Challenger with low miles for much less than I would have paid at the dealership and I never had to be hassled by sales people! SE Motors Group works through several different departments and mostly through emails so if you want to talk to the same person the whole way through this is not for you. If you are like me and want to do everything electronically it is great! I did not do a trade in so I cannot speak to that. Hope this can relieve some fears for those of you considering SE Motors Group. I would use them again!

This is my personal review of SELLING a vehicle to SE Motors Group. I dont normally leave Yelp reviews for businesses unless they did a GREAT JOB or did a HORRIBLE job, in this case, I was very impressed and surprised at how smooth the process went.

Kelly blue book put my car from $26500-$29500 range, since I was the original owner of my car, I I decided to ask Carmax, Shift, Tred and SE Motors Group to have a backup plan in case I couldnt sell private party, I would go with the highest cash offer from one of these places...

Shift = $23400 (losing the online car buying battle, couldnt match SE Motors Group)
Tred = They try to sell it for asking price and take 5% (obviously didn't)
Carmax = $22000 (these vultures are a joke)
SE Motors Group = April 1st came back with an offer of $26000

The original request to see how much SE Motors Group would offer was very casual and I didn't expect much after seeing other places offers, but I figured why not try, uploaded a few pics, answered a few questions and within maybe a few hours, I had an offer for 26K, I was kinda surprised, they said I had 250 miles or 7 days to accept the offer, I knew my schedule for my next car was way off, so I knew this offer would have to expire, besides I figured I could still sell private party for more...I was wrong.

I was nervous, it had over a month since their original offer of 26K, I had put about 700 miles on the car, what if they recognized the VIN and figured they could lowball me since obviously I'm coming back to them for another offer...This was the start of selling to them.

Friday 18th of May, I submitted my information again to get a new appraisal/offer. Nervously I hit submit and waited, please be close to 26K I thought,...less then an hour later... $26000!
I was so thankful the offer remained the same, thank you SE Motors Group for not taking advantage of the situation. So I have 7 days to accept the offer from them, I figured I would wait until the 7th day, but decided to call them Monday the 21st to ask them how long the process takes, just to be safe for my timing and new vehicle, Monday morning they tell me it can take 1 - 2 weeks from accepting to payment. OH CRAP, what if its 2 weeks, that would put me into 1st week maybe even 2nd week of June, what if my new car comes in...I started feeling very anxious and nervous. I decided to accept the offer on Monday the 18th around 10am.

The next day , that same day I received a link that had instructions to upload registration, title pic and drivers license. Jumped on that and uploaded my docs, by wednesday they had sent me instructions on how to fill out Title as well as sign more documentation for the selling and a label to fedex my title to them with standard overnight. I followed their instructions as laid out and my title was on the way, getting nervous about the timing again, I would call them to make sure i was doing everything properly and to get an idea of the next steps. Darla in the sales/acquisition department was very polite and patient with all my questions and I'm sure she was annoyed but remained very professional lol.

They stated once the title was received and confirmed it was correctly filled out, they would start looking for a pickup. I asked so if you get the title tomorrow (thursday) we can have pickup Friday? They said well pickup can take anywhere 3-5 days days depending on your location, OH CRAP I thought again, well is there any way we expedite, they would humor me but they had to follow their process and based on drivers locally, there wasnt much I could do except wait for an email for pickup...Its memorial day weekend, great no pickup at least until Tuesday or later I said to myself, which means I wont get paid til that pickup day or the next...this is going to be super tight timing wise.

I had plans saturday to go up to the mountains, never thinking they would try to pickup on a saturday (especially on a holiday weekend)

Turns out I was wrong, I was in an area with horrible reception and this is where I was really happy with SE Motors Group and their transporters Rays Tow and Transport, not only did they call, they left voicemails BUT they went the step further and TEXTED me, which I was able to get when service would kick in, SE Motors Group doing this saved the process and I was able to communicate with them. They wanted to pick up Saturday by 4pm!

So SE Motors Group is supposed to pay you same day if its before 1pm CST, if not next business day...its saturday lol memorial day weekend. So i figured, I wont get paid until Tuesday at the earliest...sure enough I get a wire transfer for the full amount into my bank account by 10am PST. Funds cleared by end of day and May 30th I have all my funds and my car is gone. PERFECT timing SE Motors Group...a great process and pretty easy to do it all.

It was perfect for my needs, the offer was ALMOST low end private party, which I truly appreciated, and took about 7 business days from start to finish! Thank you SE Motors Group!

They are very sophisticated in posting FAKE websites, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and several fake comments on various websites. This is one of the few websites that will allow outsiders to post THE TRUTH about their scheme. I wish someone had warned me before I became a VICTIM! Hopefully someone will read this before they make A HORRIBLE MISTAKE!

I was unsure how to progress. Every step of the way I was informed and guided. The fact that I could reserve the car for 24 hrs. gave me time to test drive a similar vehicle to see if I liked the layout of the vehicle, the handling, the size, amenities, etc. They worked around my schedule for delivery as I was out of the area for a vacation. The car was approved by my mechanic or I could have returned it for free! I love my "new" 2015 Volvo XC60.

It was listed below market value and had less mileage than all the other ones I found. I researched this company to check if they were legit as they even offered free delivery and no hassle returns! The whole process was a breeze and the vehicle arrived as promised. The delivery driver contacted me to ensure I would be available at a specific time.

When I had questions prior to buying I was able to reach a representative of the company to answer them. I was really amazed at the quality of service and the effortless process of buying from a company I did not even know existed! I definitely would use them again!

Overall I got what I was looking for and for what I feel is a great price. The no haggle aspect was great and online piece was good. The return policy and other warranty convinced me to take the chance and buy a vehicle without looking over, test driving first. Everyone I spoke to was very friendly.

In its current state, I would recommend SE Motors Group to people who have done their research to know exactly what they want, are able to call in daily to keep things moving, and then be savvy enough to deal with dumb little problems when the vehicle arrives.

I read plenty of the negative reviews here, and I recommend you do the same so you have an idea of what to watch out for.

First, the process is going to move fast. That's the feature, not the bug. I saw someone calling it an old-school trick to pressure you into buying. It looks the same, but I don't think it is a trick. They expect that you shopped around online and know what you want when you call. If you like the price and the car, you can immediately start the process to buy it. If you want the car to be delivered ASAP, you have to pull the trigger ASAP. If you haven't done much research on what you want, you might be better off going to a local dealership, where they will almost certainly consume
several hours of your time.

The prices are pretty good. They list vehicles really competitively, and their dealer fees are almost nothing. $500 for for delivery, and about $250 in other fees if I remember right. Most local dealerships I shopped at had about $1500 in dealer fees, but for the vehicle I wanted, I only had one overpriced option, two hours away. To me, the selection, savings, and logistical convenience outweighed all the nonsense that comes with SE Motors Group.

While fast, the buying process is sloppy. There is no dashboard or online account. There aren't really any conveniences at all. I got an email from a team-wide address with a blank body, and signature line with a name and phone number. Any time I needed something, I called up the toll-free line, navigated the automated system, left a message, and waited for a call back. An Instant message or direct email would have been WAY better! I chose to apply through my bank for financing (I generally would recommend that) so I avoided any interaction with SE Motors Group Finance and can't comment on that. When I sent my funding request, someone on the paperwork team attached it to the wrong account, so it was good that I called a day after to confirm they got it. EVERYTHING YOU DO, CALL LATER TO CONFIRM IT! Once they attached it to the right person, it was smooth sailing.

Delivery was crazy fast. They projected 4 days, but on the 3rd day, they called asking if I could meet that night. It is on a big car-hauler semi trailer, so if you live in a tight neighborhood, you might want to meet in a big-box parking lot. The driver was very friendly, professional, and quick. Didn't waste any of my time, and I was on my way in 5 minutes.

The inspection at SE Motors Group appears to be a joke if existent at all. Be ready to deal with little things, and if you aren't comfortable doing your own inspection during the return period, take it to a mechanic and have them do one. My vehicle was mechanically great, thank goodness. The interior was a little gross. Forehead prints on several windows, dust caked inside the steering column, dirt on the seats. Nothing crazy, but you will want to plan on having the car detailed when it arrives. Exterior was dirty from the drive, but nothing bad or unexpected considering the distance. They forgot to remove the inventory tracking device from the OBD2 port, so I doubt they scanned the computer. Now they intend to send me a shipping label to mail it back to them. On top of those blunders, the only key they included had a dead battery. It was a very easy, $6 fix, but that would be unacceptable by most people's car buying standards.

TL;DR: Super sloppy service. NOT EVEN CLOSE to an easy, pain free car-buying experience, but no more slimy than local dealerships. A really great deal, though. as long as you don't mind hounding the sales/paperwork teams for a couple days and handling stupid problems with your vehicle.
