Scam Estimation Company Reports & Reviews (1)

- Dayton, VA, USA • Mar 26, 2025

I am reporting a likely scam involving a person using the names Matthew Oliver and Metthew Oliver, claiming to represent a business called Yours Estimation LLC. The individual communicates from a Gmail address ([email protected]) despite referencing what appears to be an official website (yoursestimation.com). The emails are filled with inconsistencies, including different name spellings (Matthew vs Metthew), vague details, and missing or non-functional attachments labeled as construction renderings.

The scammer pressures recipients (specifically, my boss) to send payments quickly, often before any legitimate work is delivered. They use phrases like “we need payment to proceed,” or make technical excuses (e.g., saying they cannot include a horse image in the rendering due to HDRI limitations) to justify poor or missing deliverables.

In this case, the scammer targeted my boss, a 22-year-old new business owner who is Mennonite and has minimal internet or technology experience. He has been pressured into sending money multiple times despite warnings. The scammer continues to respond in a way that seems convincing to someone who is new to the digital business world and unfamiliar with common fraud tactics.

The company lists a Sheridan, Wyoming address, but it appears to be a shell or virtual address—likely used to give the appearance of legitimacy without any real business presence. When questioned about why they use a free Gmail account and don’t offer any video calls, the scammer replied that it was “to keep costs down”—a suspicious justification for a business supposedly handling professional estimating and rendering projects.

This setup follows a known scam pattern where fake estimating or rendering services use professional-sounding names and websites, but operate via free email addresses, avoid direct contact, and gradually extract money under the guise of “work in progress.”

I am reporting this to prevent others—especially young or inexperienced entrepreneurs—from falling into the same trap. The scam is manipulative, persistent, and designed to exploit trust and unfamiliarity with internet scams.

My boss has paid this scammer by Stripe and I've tried warning him but he doesn't know any better because he doesn't know the internet. This is his first time in business. Please help me! Take this website down!
