Employment Scam

they contacted me about a Data Entry position. paying $27-$35 an hour. They are wanting to send me a check to buy the equipment needed for this job and they said I can keep $140 for myself for me having to do the running around to get the stuff needed. They wanted to converse with me on SKYPE, but they don't want to do a video call they are just chatting. We could have done that with a phone number. They are pressing on the urgency and want me to be available on SKYPE all the time. I told him I had to call and cancel interviews that i had scheduled to get time away from him. I can forward the email from him if you would like to see it and the conversation on SKYPE also. They phone number used is just the numbers only out of the SKYPE address. The form wouldn't let me continue without entering a phone number. I am continuing on with conversations so they can send any check they are promising so i can give you that as well to see if it will help. If I am not needing to do this please let me know. I had no intention of doing anything with the check after figuring out this is bound to be a scam.
