I was searching online for the WestJet contact number to add a middle name to tickets for three of our family members. I was contacted by individuals posing as WestJet agents, who requested personal information, including full names, dates of birth, flight details, and my credit card information, claiming they would help with the change.

I became suspicious when they sent an email asking me to confirm a $900 USD charge and requesting photos of our passports. Recognizing the red flags, I ended the call. However, the scammers immediately called me back five times, with the caller ID showing “likely spam” each time.

The number I initially called was 866-829-1536, but the numbers they used for the subsequent spam calls were:

• 609-438-2007

• 910-537-5775

• 888-937-8538

• 315-541-7001

I realized it was a scam and ceased communication.
