I was sold “14K solid gold.” After bringing the piece to an authentic jeweler, I was informed that the piece was in fact 10K plated gold. The 10K symbol was very obviously stamped on the piece, which I didn’t know to look for because the store looked legit in the Trumbull mall, and the jeweler confidently lied to me. I was refunded for the jewelry when I made a scene about the fake I was sold.
