I got scammed by him many years ago

4 or 5 years ago he took about $1600 deposit to do some work for me. Endless excuses as to why he couldn’t be there. I eventually gave up. I was embarrassed I was so easily conned so didn’t tell many ppl. Now I am seeing he’s done it to so many others. I apologize I didn’t report it. Although I’m not sure it would’ve helped. It seems they allow him to continue this without locking him up.

UPDATE: Rob did not show up for his court appearance on Friday for his 'status appearance'. His lawyer pleaded not guilty and the trial date is now April 27. I think he is still lying and scamming. That is how I believe he makes a living. Anyone with his updated phone number?

This guy is a pedo

Rob lives at the wedgewood motel and scams people by responding to Kijiji adds for contractor work. He takes the money and doesn't complete the work. He smells horrible , doesn't bathe, and he is a known pedophile.

i went to his place with a friend who lost money to him he lives at the old wedgewood hotel in Bedford we were just gonna talk to him to see if we could get the money.there wssnt any answer at his door but his dog was barking crazy. we talked to a couple of his neighbors who were outside they call him Captain Crazy Hair, they said he leaves the dog for long times and the dog is filthy and Robs place is full of dog filth because he hardly takes it out. we asked the man neighbor if it was weird living next to him but the guy just laughed and said he wasbt scared because he's from the north end.

The release is out now on CBC Nova Scotia and in the Haligonia. His court date is Dec 13/21 in Provincial Court. She said he IS NOT expected any jail time. Really, WOW.

Wow!...Now that I saw his picture on here...I realize that we just got ripped off by him...like 3 weeks ago ...he answered an ad on kijiji that we put up looking for snow plowing for our driveway...gave him a deposit of $250...I assume when we do get enough snow he wont be here!...looks like the A-hole has been busy ripping off people by the looks of this site!..pi$$ed!...

You won’t see him plowing your driveway this year. He did the same thing to us last year. Didn’t show up to plow after we paid him. And he kept us going with texts saying his plow was broke, his truck was being fixed. Etc etc etc until my husband asked for our money back, then he stopped communicating. Crook

I am in Ontario and he took advantage of that as well as Covid restrictions at the time. He took me for hard earned savings for a house demolishing. I was td by HRP he was in court November 25 for breach of probation and then again November 26 for fraud.

He has said he has nothing of value, I mentioned to him that he has 2 kidneys, a liver and a heart, which is valuable on the black market. Just saying. And that we are going to CBC Go Public this Friday. Well he went ballistic, both by email and by phone. Got his attention though. He was supposedly in the hospital the last 3 weeks on a heart bypass. Got out yesterday (Nov 23) with a new phone. Last Oct, he promised again to have everything done by the end of Oct. Never seen him again and no contact shortly after giving him $1,300 more for plywood. Was to be $1,000 but accidently sent that. He would not return the extra $300. On going...

A guy by the name of Bob Allen replied to my ad on Kijiji to do some minor repairs. He sounded legit, so I etransfered him $2,000 for materials. He was supposed to start the job a week ago, and he hasn't showed up. I can contact him on his cell, but the excuses are never-ending. Apparently, I've been had.

The contract which was outlined at an in-person meeting Feb 21, 2021 and then followed up in writing via text on Feb 22, 2021 was as follows:
- Prime and paint every room/ceiling
- Stucco removal in living room, mud, prime and paint
- Bathroom man door supplied and installed 28x77
- Prime and paint kitchen cabinet framework
- Kitchen cabinet doors and drawer fronts supplied and installed
- Kitchen light fixture supplied and installed
- Kitchen ceiling replacement and painting
- Basement floor cement smoothing and paint
- Basement stairs painted
- Basement set tub supplied and installed
- Kitchen countertop supply and installation 106.5x25.5
- Bedroom closet doors supplied and installed
- Flooring in kitchen and dining room

This scope of work was agreed in writing to cost $3300 payable in 2 installments, beginning and end of job. The start date was to be March 1, 2021, the original completion date was agreed to be March 7th, 2021.

The contract did change to add the following:
- 2 interior bedroom doors supplied and installed (Paid $178 Feb 23, 2021)
- Over range microwave rangehood and cabinet supplied and installed (Paid $200 Feb 24, 2021)
- Exterior front door supplied and installed (Paid $300 - Feb 28, 2021)
- Bedroom ceiling fan supplied and installed (Paid 49.45 - March 2, 2021)
- Kitchen ceiling insulation and foundation repair (Paid $130 - March 2, 2021)

On March 2, 2021 - 10 days were added by Rob via text, for a revised date of March 17, 2021
On March 14, 2021 8:35am - Rob communicated via text that he would be finished by Tuesday March 16, 2021
On March 14, 2021 12:25pm Rob communicated by text that he would now be finished Friday March 19, 2021
On Wednesday March 17, 2021 3:55pm Rob communicated by text that he would now be done Saturday March 20, 2021 with his cleaners coming in Sunday.
On Thursday March 18, 2021 2:21pm Rob communicated by text that he would now be done on Sunday March 21, 2021
On Saturday March 20, 2021 7:18pm Rob communicated by text that he would now be done on Tuesday March 23, 2021 with his cleaners coming in Wednesday March 24, 2021
On Saturday March 20, 2021 7:43pm Rob communicated by text that he would now need until Wednesday March 24, 2021 to finish the work.

What was originally quoted as a week job was on day 21 when we finally let Rob go Sunday March 21, 2021. In total he was e-transferred $2732.45 between Feb 22 and March 3rd, 2021
