Second phone call from Process Server Dispatch in as many months. Claimed that I was being sued for a balance on an account that I was overdue on… that I paid off three and a half years ago. Said that they would be serving me in the next 48 hours (then gave me a 72 hour window) at either my home or place of employment. Called the county clerk to verify, and they have no records of any court date or law suit against me.

Contacted me to have my father call in and said I was an emergency contact listed. They stated it was a 2nd attempt serving him with a civil suit and needed to know if he’d be home within the hour. Asked that he contacted them they read back his SSN # and home address. They stated he had 7000 debt with Capitol One and they will file a lien on his home if he does not pay. He told them they cannot do that and they said something along the lines of “well since you think you’re a lawyer we will move forward with serving you”
