Postal exam Reports & Reviews (2)

I was helping my husband look for employment since he was has been unemployed due to the pandemic since April 2020. I came across a USPS job posting on a job posting site (unfortunately, I don't remember the job posting site name, but I don't think it was indeed.com). The website is uspostofficejob.com and claimed to help applicants get employed with the USPS by helping them prep for some exam. We had to pay a 'refundable' $46 fee. Well, my husband put in payment info, and we were charged $46, but we also saw where someone charged $200 and $205 at an online Adidas store. The $46 dollar charge and the $200 charges showed up in our bank account on the very same day (we don't shop at Adidas and therefore did not make any online purchases there). I called uspostofficejob.com's customer service number to confirm they were legit and asked about paying fees for an exam and about the extra charges. The customer service rep told me my husband and I obviously purchased from Adidas and that they are not associated with Adidas. I told her I understood they're not associated with Adidas, but told her that maybe the uspostofficejob.com website is not legit and therefore not secure, and that this was the only website we gave payment information to. They denied that their website was fake and denied the extra charges, of course. My husband and I were just so focused on finding him employment that we were naive. Apparently, the real USPS would never require you to pay a fee for an exam or exam prep, according to the USPS website . Please beware of these types of job postings that promise to get you a job with the USPS by helping you pass the exam. The exam isn't even something you can study for, it's an aptitude test! I hope this entry can save someone else the headache we just experienced.
