I am a psychotherapist based in MA and received a letter from Payment Resolutions LLC - sent to my private practice email - addressed to my practice address. The letter was signed by Payment Resolutions LLC however it had the letterhead 'Optum' which is an insurance company I am in network with (so, see clients who have this insurance and get paid by them when I submit claims). The letter stated that it was 'As a follow-up to our discussion regarding repayment of $182.00, below are the details of the payment plan we discussed.' It then went over how to pay this amount.

I never had a discussion about owing this money to Optum and the letter is not connected to a claim number or member ID. When I called the Optum recoupment department (the department that handles overpayments to providers), they did not see anything on my file about owing anything to them.

I am attaching a copy of the letter I received from this 'company' called Payment Resolutions.
