Paradise Exteriors failed to refund my deposit on time after I canceled.

I am reporting my experience with Paradise Exteriors (ParadiseExteriors.com) after entering into an $82,000 contract for impact windows through a high-pressure in-home sales presentation. The following day, I exercised my legal right to cancel under Florida’s three-day rescission law for home solicitation sales. When I delivered my cancellation form in person, it was signed with an incorrect, backdated date that could have invalidated my statutory rights. I had to return to have the form corrected.

Florida law requires refunds within 10 business days of cancellation. My $5,000 deposit was not refunded within that timeframe, and I received multiple inconsistent explanations for the delay. The refund was ultimately issued only after an attorney drafted and sent a formal demand letter.

After canceling, I obtained additional quotes and hired another licensed contractor for approximately $43,000—nearly half the original price. My complaint is about high-pressure sales tactics, inflated pricing, incorrect cancellation documentation, and failure to provide a timely refund as required by law.
