Openairfare.com booked my ticket, gave me an agency reference number as a confirmation number and told me that air-ticket will come to your email in next few minutes. After several hours, I contacted them and they say that seat is not available and there is a seat at a higher price ($100 higher). I asked them to cancel my booking. They have said they will do so but haven't got any confirmation of that yet. I think, I now have to change my American express card just to be on the safer side and avoid a future credit theft...

Don't use Openairfare as they use bait and switch tactics - they offer a low flight price and after you book the flight - They call you in 15 min and say it is no longer available for that price but! if you pay alot more they can find you something

Type of a scam: Travel/Vacations

I was looking for a unexpansive ticket for a round trip domestic flight. The website came up during the search along with other websites. The price for the ticket was very reasonable. I actually chatted with a representative on the website considering a purchase. After I purchased the ticket, I received an email confirmation. Three days later I received a call that the price has changed and I need to pay additional $250 for the ticket. I refused. I called them back a few times telling them that I would report them as scam. When I tried to go to the website link in my email, it tells me that the website is unavailable. After talking to them three times (they also stopped answering my calls), they sent me an email that my ticket is cancelled. I still reported them to my credit card.
