The Omnimed Supplies Corp in Coral Springs, Florida is a scam organization targeting Medicare/Medicaid. Unsolicited representatives from Omnimed call and ask you specific questions about your health issues and say that Medicare/Medicaid will pay for the costs for such items as back and neck braces. Where they get the information on your location and personal matters must have been gotten from the "dark web". The single "sales" representative (will go take your implied medical history and forward this information to another representative for a second "verification" who will then "seal the deal" without any personal approval from you. (Note: Most reps sound like they are foreign".) Once you have concluded your conversation, Omnimed will mail you a package of the item "you (did not) order" and ask you to sign the order and date the included form and order you to mail the form back to them before going to your insurance company for payment. The flaw in that is that a medical doctor must sign an order for whatever item(s) you "have ordered" which should not be the case. So, I suggest, get rid of the merchandise. It's a scam! Take note that the telephone number provided to me is not in service.

My 82year old mother received a shipment of a knee brace and back brace from Omnimed Supplies Corp. I called the number on the packing list, but they were not helpful. They told me that she should have received a phone call before they shipped them out. She has dementia so she would have been confused an could have agreed to receive the order. They are supposed to be sending me a return mailing envelope but I am not hopeful.

My mother-in-law was sent a box with knee and ankle braces from OmniMed Supply Corp. in Coral Springs, FL. Looked up on internet, no such company. Called the 800 number in the paperwork they sent her, and it is a burner phone...they can only call out, can't receive calls. I told her to go back to UPS and refuse the package and get a receipt that she brought it back to UPS. I am so glad she contacted me and didn't fill out any paperwork! They prey upon those on Medicare.

The caller asks if you are experiencing pain, asks for your Medicare ID number and says they will bill Medicare for all items shipped. Then they ship a bunch of medial supplies without confirming treatment need or prescription. They are calling specifically on people who have medicare.

Neighbor received unsolicited durable medical equipment (braces for back and knee) by mail, addressed by name and full address. Did not request this equipment and have no need for it. Checked with family and determined this was likely an insurance scam because documentation in shipping package instructed victim to complete the enclosed paperwork with insurance information and return it to the company. Omnimed Supplies Corp would file with the health insurance for payment. Also there was no pre-paid return shipping label, which would normally be in such a package. Also checked online and found company has no website and was only established as a Florida Domestic Profit Corporation in December 2021. Suspect company got personal information from a data breach at former employer a few years ago. The free credit monitoring service given as a result of the breach has already expired. Stay away from this company, do not answer calls and do not complete or return documentation or equipment at your own expense. Dispose of equipment and paperwork as you see fit.
