Oliver Cabell Online Scam Reports & Reviews (1)

Purchased a pair of shoes from Oliver Cabell online in July. Didn't realize they wouldn't be "made" and sent until the end of August. Oliver Cabell charged my credit card immediately though. There was no way for me to cancel the order online, and their site does not provide a customer service number or address (a red flag that I didn't notice when I ordered the shoes). They only provide an email address to contact them. I used that email address to request to cancel my order. I did receive a response after 2 days and through multiple email exchanges, they tried to offer me discounts to keep my order. I continued to request to have my order cancelled. By then I had done research on the company and noticed that ScamPulse.com has many similar complaints from other people. I finally received an email that my order was canceled, and I was told that I would receive a refund within 10 days. Before that point though, I opened a dispute with my credit card on the charge. After 12 days, I did not receive my refund so I contacted the company and was two told twice that they cannot process a refund when a dispute is opened. I contacted my credit card (Synchrony) and they confirmed that it is false; in fact, the refund would close the dispute. Oliver Cabell continued to tell me they could not process the refund, so I continued the communication with my credit card company at poin to try to resolve the issue. Originally, Synchrony decided in found IN FAVOR of Oliver Cabell because the company sent fraudulent tracking information from DHL claiming the shoes were delivered to my house. Meanwhile, I had emails exchanges with company stating the shoes were not even made yet and that they were processing my refund. I sent all of that information to my credit card company/Synchrony, after opening another dispute, and the decision was reversed in my favor and the charge was taken off my account. That was a couple weeks but two days ago I noticed the charge was back on my account. I called my credit card company/Synchrony and was told Oliver Cabell AGAIN sent DHL tracking information showing that the shoes were delivered to my house about a week ago (a different date than the original fraudulent tracking information they sent to Synchrony). Of course the shoes were never sent to my house. I do not know how they are doing, but Oliver Cabell has figured out a way to send the credit card companies fraudulent DHL tracking information and Synchrony bank now says they cannot do anything else. Synchrony is saying they have to get the credit back from the company and because the company is sending them DHL tracking information, they have accepted it. (Synchrony did say my card with them does not have this type of protection. I will be using Visa or MasterCard in the future because they do.) I have never in my left been in a situation like this. While the email exchanges with Oliver Cabell were friendly, every single person involved is in on the lie and scam, and it is unbelievable. They have one store in NY and I called it but was told they have nothing to do with online sales. Check out the other similar complaints about this company on BBB. It is nothing but a scam. Do NOT purchase from Oliver Cabell. Oliver Cabell shoes are knockoffs of Golden Goose anyway. You're better off spending the extra money on Golden Goose. At least you know you'll receive your product and it will be of high quality, and you can return them for a full refund if you wish.
