This business is engaging in an illegal bait-and-switch operation. They heavily market a physical book on social media for $19.99. However, their checkout funnel automatically opts the consumer into a 7-day hidden trial for a digital database called "Herbert," which auto-renews at an exorbitant rate of $49.00 per month if not canceled.

I never asked for, authorized, or consented to a digital membership. The invoice they sent me explicitly links the physical book printing process directly to the $49.00 subscription line item, demonstrating an intentional effort to obscure the true nature of the charges. When caught, they try to force consumers into a "50% partial refund" settlement via PayPal, citing deceptive Terms of Service. They are scamming hundreds of consumers using these exact dark patterns. I demand a full refund of $98.00 and an investigation into their business license.
