Applied to a job on Indeed, it was listed as “Data entry clerk” and the pay was $30-$35 an hour. For reference, real data entry clerks make about half that per hour. The email I got addressed me as a different name, but asked me to download an app called Signal and to contact “Erin Wilson” on there. I pasted the number and contacted. I filled out a questionnaire over Google Forms. I did in fact type out my address and birth date. I did not share any banking information. I was not asked to cash in a check or buy things, but it was very suspicious the “employer” sent over a selfie and her FULL DRIVERS LICENSE UNCENSORED for “authentication”. I discussed this “job” with my family and texted I would not be accepting the job unless there was more proof this was real. I reverse image searched her profile picture but no duplicates were found.
