I was contacted via email saying this company liked what they seen and was instructed to download an app to get an interview (I knew this was a scam but wanted to see how far it would go) attached is the inital email I received. I actually got 2 emails, with different people to contact for this interview (which I did) their responses were very similar like they had a script to go off of. Flag #1 neither of these people realized they were "interviewing" the same candidate?? And were sending 2 checks to me? Don't be vulnerable and fall for their scams

This company has multiple postings on Indeed under the name "Triangle Solar Inc," all listed in various cities. Upon applying to the position, I received an email with a blank logo template stating that my application had been received. The next morning, I received an email with an interview request. This email is identical to the one previously posted on ScamPulse.com (under the business odedesigncompany.com). It states:

I did not pursue the position further after seeing the scam warning on ScamPulse.com as I did not want to risk further compromise.

Email came from Mike Sunders stating I was chosen to interview for position. Told to add Grace Cole on Signal app to do interview. It was all by the app no calls or face to face time. After 20 minutes I was told I had the job and then mailed a check for $6500 to deposit to buy materials. After red flags raised I called them out and they stopped responding. I did not deposit check.

Received an email on downloading an app to talk to a hiring manager named Laura and it seem like we were going to set up an interview then the interview proceeded through texting

Then I was told a check would be sent and to use it towards my supplies that needed to be bought. I felt something was wrong once told the amount of things needed purely for an administrative assistant/ receptionist job. Making me buy desks and the specific laptop instead of worrying about a webcam, a headset or even just strong WiFi like a normal work from home job

They proceeded to send the check to me and although haven’t received it yet, I see it’s tracking and decided to report it immediately due to it coming off strange

I applied for a typist clerk position and received an email that the company Felland Inc would like to interview me. The interview was over a message app called Signal and the person Rachel Gibson, gave me her age up front as 46 years old. She began asking me questions began asking for bank information and texting as if I had already accepted a job offer. It was assumptive and I did not like accepting a job offer over text, definitely not giving my bank information. When I stated a 2nd time that I would NOT give that info, Rachel didn't respond again.

The job was posted on Indeed. They responded quickly to my application with instructions to message the hiring manager to schedule an interview. He proceeded to ask standard interview question via the messaging app then quickly offered me a job. I was suspicious but thought I'd see where it went. He later emailed me a check and a list of materials. I was instructed to deposit the check into my bank account and purchase the materials. At this point I said it was odd he was doing this without having signed any paperwork and I would not proceed without first talking to my would-be supervisor in person. He said he would void the check and ceased communicating with me. The address on the check was for a residential home in Houston, but the company's website says they are exclusively in California. There are no staff members or job postings listed on the website, and a few grammatical errors scattered through it. It looks slick, but all the information is very generic and easy to fabricate.
