On March 31, 2025, I used Yelp to help find local movers. Brandon with Fast Action Movers Company, phone number (217) 634-7058, responded to me by text. We discused a price of $120 per hour, details of the move to be 6 hours total to take place April 27, 2025. He requested a deposit for half the total, $360 and emailed me an invoice. Unfortunately, I did not look the invoice over well. There was no name, phone number, address or website for this company listed on the invoice. He asked me to make the payment to Dijon Thompson through Zelle, phone number (704) 891-6215, which I made on March 31, 2025. Other moving arrangements had been made so I emailed and texted Brandon, Fast Action Movers Company on Monday, April 14, 2025, thirteen (13) days in advance of my move, to cancel and refund my money. When I called the (217) 634-7058, it says "You're calling from a number that is not recognized, please use the number you used on Yelp". That was the number I used! When I called the (704) 891-6215 number, it immediately disconnects. I then sent a text to that same number with no response. If I had not had other arrangements, I would have been left on moving day with no movers! This company is a SCAM and unfortunately it cost me $360 to find that out.

I contracted with Roadway Movers LLC to transport a vehicle, paid the $200.00 deposit. Two days after securing their services, I cancelled the transport and requested a refund of the deposit (per the contract guidelines). I texted at length with the salesperson, Damon Hall, who confirmed the refund had been issued but was canceled by my credit card, and that the refund would be reprocessed. He has since stopped responding to texts. I have called and emailed with no response.

The scammer posted an ad on Craigslist for a free power wheelchair. I was told to work out delivery costs with the shipping company that was currently in possession of the chair. Shape5 Moving Group was the shipping company. They said they could only accept payment via Zelle or Chime. I tried to pay with Zelle but the bank blocked it, citing potential fraud (thank you bank!). Further email correspondence and review of their website made it clear Shape5 was not a legit business and that this was all a scam. Including the fact that their claimed physical address is actually that of a small public park in Washington, DC.

A mover (Dan) contacted me when I requested a small move. He was referred by Angie’s list. We agreed on a date and price. When two Russian speaking movers showed up - they informed us that the price was changed from the agreed upon price of $375 to $700. We contacted Dan and he said he would do it for $600. Finally he accepted that he would only get $375 from us after a lot of price haggling. It was a very stressful situation.

They started like they are assisting you with helping get a apartment that they will cosign for but you are never approved then want you to keep paying app fees. Then they will come back and say there was a issue with their credit they can't help until issue is taken can of and ask do you want refund but never goves you money back and they stop answering your call. When you call back someone picks up sounds like screaming child in backgound.Or they may answer and say wait 90 to 120 days and you never receive money back

When I booked the reservation for my move they ask for $5000 deposit I told him that my stuff was in the storage he ask how much stuff I have. He told $8000 total including my vehicle I thought it was a good price. When I call back the following month to speak with the person he was not available. The person I spoked he second time asked me if I can provide a photo of the stuff that I have in the storage. So I did that I send him the photos so now he told me that the price now is 13000 because the size of the storage so I question him about it and I ask to speak with the person that I speaking the first time, he told me he was there anymore and he told me that he is the supervisor in charged the he put me on hold and went to get his manager. The manager explained to me that because of the size of the storage that the price is now 13000 so okay. He told me that the total move normally cost 26000 but he’s only going charged me 13000 because someone cancelled. But I have to pay the whole amount to secured my spot and that way I don’t have to pay anymore when they pickup and when they deliver. I paid them that I don’t have that amount at that moment he ask me if i can put 3000 and the rest in a couple of days so I agree. I borrowed the rest of the money to pay and I ask again to make sure that I don’t have to pay for pickup and delivery of my items when it arrive and he told me yes that’s correct.4 days before pickup some called me asking for 6500 payments to pickup so I told him that I was already paid in full so he told me that he will get back with me but I didn’t hear from him. I had different people calling me asking about the schedule for pickup and asking for deposit. I was upset so I called the company and of course I spoked to different person again and none of the person that I had spoken before was not available. They are very rude and they treated me like I’m stupid. He told me that if I don’t have the money to pay for the truck he is going to call the truck to cancel. I have no choice but to cancel because I can’t afford to pay them anymore. They told me that I cannot get my 13000 that I pay anymore. I was very upset and don’t know what to do because that’s all the money that I have left. I don’t know how I can my money back from this company..I am stuck here until I get that money back. Please help me get my $13000 back. Thank you..

Our church recieved an email from someone claiming to be Sophia Thompson asking if we wanted her piano. Her email is [email protected]. We told her we did and she connected us with someone claiming to be Charles Parson. His number is 718-618-5501. He said he worked for Premier Carrier - Frieght and we had to pay him to ship the piano. He sent us an email with different prices for shipping. If we wanted next day shipping it would cost $1950, 6 day shipping would be $1022, and 9 day shipping would be $620. His email is [email protected]

Contacted me about providing a moving service. After requesting money several times, they never showed up. He was adamant that they were still on their way. Always saying he was going to refund me, but never actually doing it. He = Chris Sterling!

Similar to the other report, our charity was contact by a "Ms. Betty Alpert" who wished to donate her deceased husband's 2014 Steinway Baby Grand piano. We needed to pay movers $925 to deliver it to us. Ms. Alpert claimed to be in Germany for medical reasons. As a small charity, we asked if she was willing to donate the moving expense as well. She quickly agreed to donate 1/3 of it. A representative of the moving company (Hinke Stacey James) then contacted us asking us to send the remainder of the moving fee via Zelle, giving us an email address "[email protected]." When we attempted to make the payment, Zelle errored, saying there was a problem with the address and to contact the recipient. We called Mr. James who sent us a new address to use, [email protected] for Zelle. At this point I realized something was "off" and researched the moving company a bit more closely. I found a website that was missing some usual business characteristics and this ScamPulse.com report. After reviewing a similar ScamPulse.com report we contacted mr. James and said we were going to pass on the piano. He responded with a text saying "I told the owner of the piano you are up to no good. she would have give it to the person that needed the piano."

I requested the services of dominicana cargo for cargo shipping to Dominican Republic. They picked it up the Box (18x18x28) on 02/19/24.

I paid $75 for shipping. It's been 1 month, and 10 days and Box have not been delivered. The box included new clothes, shoes, and personal care products. Everything is value approximately $1200. I have been trying to contact this company every day at different times, with no luck, no one answers the phone, messages, emails. I went online into their social media, Facebook and read multiple complaints about the same issue. Packages have not arrived and no one provides an explanation for the delay. I went in person and could not get into the building because it requires access code, could not to talk to anyone about it. At this point, I am desperate and need to do something about it. This cannot keep happening. I need my package and money back. Please Help

This company lies, then lies, and then lies again. They tell you what you want to hear: Basically you want to believe that they are telling the truth, but skip them altogether. They make their money on the lies that they tell to you. Do I have your attention? Then here is what they did to us:

They 'forced us' to sign the contract immediately, since their price was going up TOMORROW! Then they assured us that if we wanted to get a refund, that we could do that by contacting them within 72 hours. I contacted them 20 hours later! I sent them an email to their address at "cancel@..."! They never responded. I called the person that had been so urgent the night before (10pm Eastern Time) and he said: "Oh, you sent the email? Then they will respond and cancel it!" He assured me that he was legitimately telling the truth and that we could cancel within 72 hours. No worries. And he even assured me that it didn't matter exactly how much stuff that we had, because "as long as it fits on the 28 ft/53 ft truck, then we would be good."

However, they never responded! They only responded when we contacted our attorney. Then they lied and said that we did not send it FROM the correct address. They said that they called and emailed the CORRECT ADDRESS and noted that THAT address had to be used to cancel since it was the address on the contract (Yes, I put my wife's name on the contract along with her email address and phone number. However, they sent the contract to MY EMAIL ADDRESS and sent that ONLY correspondence to MY email address. The one that they are claiming is wrong.)

Bottom line: They never contacted us, they never lifted a finger to do ANY WORK because we actually cancelled the service and they know that we cancelled. They never reached out to us to get a Move Date (we never had one, not even on the original contract estimate). They never reached out to us to get a delivery Date. They never called us to give us the name of a Mover. They did nothing, because they knew that we cancelled. They were wasting time and hoping that we would go away.

But they scammed us for $1500. The credit card company investigated but they were told lies and believed them. Now we are going with a suit against them. Let's see how much this costs!

Use EXTREME CAUTION if you decide to give this company your money.
They have stolen $8500 and I was forced to move my own things after I refused to give them more money for the scam.

If they have scammed you, there are resources available to report.

The biggest scam company I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. I was quoted a certain price and then when the movers came the day of, they told me I had almost double the cubic square footage I was quoted. And you guessed it, they wanted double the price. I actually had less stuff than I had estimated (10 less boxes than I told them I thought I would have). They get your nonrefundable deposit and then don't care as that's what they're making their living off. All the blame was shifted onto me for 1) having furniture and not just boxes though I told the broker multiple times I was moving furniture and he assured me that he had reserved enough space on the truck for it and that the movers would be the only ones who needed to physically list it out. For 2) moving from a house into an apartment- though again, this was very clearly communicated and I was only moving 1 bedroom set of furniture. AMD acted like I wanted them to move my entire house when that was clearly not the case-their response was the movers came into a "3-bedroom, 3-car garage house." Sure, because that's where I live. However, they did not even enter the garage or 3 different bedrooms to move stuff. Their deposit is non-refundable because I chose to cancel- yeah, I didn't want to pay an extra $2K to move the amount of cubic square footage I was quoted and given a BINDING estimate for. We went with another (honest) moving company instead and guess what, they agreed I had ~350 square footage of stuff NOT the 550-625 square footage AMD tried to hit me with once they were already in my home, knowing I would be desperate to move. I would wonder why they would lie about the square footage but let's be honest, we all know the reason. SAVE YOURSELF, YOUR BANK ACCOUNT, AND THE HEADACHE. NEVER EVER DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY.

There was a page on Facebook about moving mobile homes. I contacted them and they had said they was able to move it for 4500 but needed money down. Would not take any other form or payment, only cashapp, apple pay or bitcoin. Paid down payment and then proceeded to need more funds for various of other things containing to moving the home. When i asked for my refund they blocked me from messages and also from the facebook page.ansport,
