An ****** listing for a WFH position responded, instructed me to download an App called Signal for a text-based interview, after which I was told I had the job. Gave me a list of work materials I would need to begin training and sent a Check to my address to cover the cost. The check is for significantly more than would be required for the listed materials, which is what tipped me off. Names and addresses on the checks, UPS package, and in emails do not match up.

I received an email the other day saying that I've been offered a job from this company as a data entry specialist and I don't even have knowledge of this position the more weirder part is that I had to do an interview on a messaging app with a woman named April Weyh. I googled the company and the location is in Charleston, West Virginia but the location on the application said Richmond, Virginia so I believe I'm being scammed.

I was contacted about a job posting and interview process. I was told to download the Signal Messenger App to schedule an interview. "I am contacting you in regards to your resume you submitted for the Remote Data Entry Specialist at Mountain CAD Corporation. If interested, you are required to contact the Assistant Hiring Manager Mrs Chante wedge on Signal Messenger for an interview now. The pay for this position is $24.95 per hour.
