I received a text to my personal cell phone using my first name from Marshfield Roofs. I was not thrilled to have a legitimate company use that tactic, but its worse when the company name is not real.

The text:

[MyFirstName], it's Sam with Marshfield Roofs. We are working near [Address on my street near mine] this week doing free roof quotes, want one? (No such company can be found)
