I made a complaint on Priceline's Facebook page that I needed a refund or cancellation. The next day I got a call from someone claiming to be from Priceline Customer Service. He was going to begin my refund and had me download Lemfi, a financial service app that helps you send, receive, and manage money across countries. As I was "setting up my account" I transferred $499 to his account. The scammer had me set up a username and password that "Priceline" would need to transfer the refund to my account. I followed the directions as we were setting up the transfer as he continued to give me strange dollar amounts to enter that would be withdrawn from my debit card. At the time he explained that it was not withdrawing money but entering codes to connect me with Priceline. After the screen appeared to show that I had transferred $99 and then $400 I disconnected the call, closed my Lemfi account and called my bank. But it was an instant transfer and my bank says they cannot get my money back.
