I received a letter from Lantos George LLP, dated March 30, 2026. He asked me for consent to be in a partnership with Lantos Petersen and to add my name to a life insurance policy benefit for the Late Eng. ****** *******. He died two years ago from covid-19. They had tried to locate any relatives, with no success. Because I had the same last name and nationality. He said all proceeds would be processed on my behalf.

It was a formal letter with a professional Letterhead. REF: MS/CA02144778/L40019024

This is the scam: A (deceased) family member was sent a letter in the mail from Lantos George LLP, 720 Spadina Ave, Toronto, ON M5S 2T9, Canada. The envelope post stamped from Greensboro, NC, Piedmont Triad Area. The letter claims there is an unclaimed "permanent life insurance policy held by a deceased client of the attorney partner, Lantos George LLP, Canada, for a savings monetary deposit for the sum of $11,550,300.00 transaction. Claiming to be 100% risk free.

I received a message from LantosGeorge.com (email: [email protected], phone: (437) 293-5118) about a transaction that pertains to an unclaimed "Payable on Death" ("POD") savings monetary deposit in the sum of Eleven Million, Five Hundred and Fifty Thousand, and Three Hundred United States Dollars ($11,550,300.00). The policyholder was one of our clients, Late Eng. Robert *********, who was a Real Estate Investor and precious stone dealer. (FALSE) He was a Covid-19 victim (FALSE) who died about 2 years ago.

The letter from LantosGeorge.com, mentions unclaimed POD savings monetary deposit in the amount of over 11 million dollars. The policy holder and I share the same last name. No one has come forward for the claim. Ten percent of the money will go to charity with the balance being shared between us. 100 percent risk free.

In addition to the fact that the letterhead shows the office location as Toronto, Ontario Canada, the postal stamp on the envelope shows Greensboro, North Carolina, 270 Piedmont Triad Area.
