Well they always tell you to never click on the link in emails to go to a web site. In this case the TSA sent me an email asking me to renew precheck but I instead searched for precheck and came up with this site that appeared very legitimate. It asked all the same questions TSA asks. I did not realize it was a fraud until I got to the final page and they wanted $255 which I knew was wrong. The renewal fee is $85. I feel dumb about this but the most they got was my passport which a lot of people get when you are traveling. These days you have to check everything out carefully before proceeding. I just hope they didn't install some nefarious software in my computer.

Fake TSA precheck site that mimics the correct one.

I was renewing my TSA PRE CHECK and accidentally chose the wrong website. It wasn’t until my bank notified me it was a foreign charge on my account from Brazil. Now they have my passport number, home address, phone number, and my TSA PRE CHECK number as well. Even with a refund they have my information!

Searched for TSA precheck renewal. Completed information online and submitted form along with payment via credit card of $225.76. They emailed me stating that member number was not valid as there was no TT in front of it and either provide the correct number or contact the agency that issued it. I emailed back a copy of my original letter from Global Entry and a copy of my Trusted Traveler card to prove I never had a TT in front of my number.

I though this was a legit tsa pre check website. Unfortunately I received alerts from my bank and many spelling errors on an email sent by said “company” I realized this is not a legitimate business. Unfortunately I provided them with my passport information, address, tsa previous number and debit card information.

I was hoping to renew my tsa precheck and clicked on the first link in my google search. My card was declined (thankfully) but I had already given them tons of information.

providing a service to help you through the global entry process. I did NOT pay close attention when googling how to renew my Global Entry pass and clicked on this website that looked legitimate. They ask you for information on address and your passport and driver's license number and then for your credit card information to pay the fee. My bank (Chase) flagged it as a fraud charge, but I was multitasking and moving too quickly and ok'ed the charge. I received a confirmation email from the address [email protected] stating that they would process my payment and check my information to see if it was correct.

I googled TSA Precheck and clicked on the first popup. I filled out my information and I found the website a bit odd and unofficial, but the website read immi-gov.com so I believed it to be credible. At the end, I had to pay $140 for the application (which I also found odd). I did that and then googled TSA Precheck again and realized that the website I was using was not a .gov official website so I immediately submitted a message for cancelation and refund. There was no website or phone number provided on the website (also weird). The "refund policy" said that I would be eligible for a refund as long as the application had not been processed. I submitted my cancellation request within minutes of putting in my application and paying. I also called my bank to have them block the charge. I then got an email from this fraudulent website saying that due to the state I live in, my application could not be canceled and was being processed. I believe that is a lie because I had already gone to the REAL government website and submitted an online application (which does not require payment) and I have an appointment set up at an airport where I live in Puerto Rico for next month. This website is a scam and I don't believe they have processed any application - even if they did, I canceled by submission within minutes and they are trying to steal my $140.

global entry application if searches will bring this group up as a 3rd party that looks like a dept of state website. They are collecting all personal info that would be required for global entry including a passport #, SS#, credit # etc.

They appear to be a valid site, do not give them any of your information.

Needed to renew global entry. Added into google search. First site that appeared was https://globalentry.us.com/

I clicked into it and it seemed legit. I put in all my personal information, put in my credit card information, and it alerted my credit card as a fraud. I called the credit card company and they attempted to purchase 4 times and 3 times were declined. It shows up as GLOBAL ENTRY in the credit card transaction.

Was trying to renew online TSA Precheck and was charged on my credit card, $283 and realized that it was more than it was supposed to be. The website asked for all the same type of questions, but when I saw the email, it had typos and no contact number. I gave my passport number and DOB to these scammers. Notified my bank about the fraudulent charge.

- Chattanooga, TN, USA

This site presents itself as a service to renew membership in the Global Entry program. I was prompted to add personal information including full name, passport information, address, driver's license information. My bank alerted me to possible fraud as the charge was made from Campinas, Brazil.

- Auburn, AL, USA

The scammer uses google ads to ensure it is the first selection that comes up when you search for Global Entry. It mimics the government site to collect your information and charges you a fee for submission. You receive no submission as an application. You cannot contact them afterwards as there is no information on their site.

I did this to myself while trying to renew Global Entry status. One of the first websites brought up by Google after a search for "Renew Global Entry" was globalentry.us.com. I saw the .US at the end of the web address and conflated it with .GOV. Stupidly, I did not even notice the .COM. So two big mistakes at the beginning of a long list of very big mistakes. I gave the website personal information, passport information, driver's license information and credit card information. It was only after I was notified of a foreign transaction on my credit card (immediately, thankfully) that I realized my mistake. I was able to immediately cancel the credit card. The rest of my valuable information I simply gave away.

It bothers me that this popped up as one of the first suggestions on Google. I should certainly have known better, but it also seems that the very FIRST website when you're making a search such as mine should have been the official website.

I filled this out with personal information because I thought it was the real global entry website

I recently went online to renew my global entry. Unfortunately I thought I was on a legitimate government website. I realized it was a scam immediately because the notification I received from my credit card company was that a foreign transaction was processed. I called my credit card company to report fraudulent activity. Unfortunately these scammers have sensitive private information. I can only hope and pray they do not steal my identity and create a fake passport with my information.

Was looking to renew my global entry application, found website, appeared legitimate until payment cleared and confirmation page looked off.

- Oxnard, CA, USA

I was renewing my global entry thinking I was on a government site. Unfortunately, I discovered my error too late. My credit card company alerted me immediately, that a foreign transaction was processed. The vendor name: web info slouches e informacoes em por. They now have my personal private information.
