I goggled TSA pre -it immediately came across as I.B.I. International Bureau of Immigration TSA MEMBERSHIP submit application on line. It charged me $140 on credit card and immediately sent me my appointment for a few days later. When I arrived at the airport I was scheduled BUT they asked for $85 and said they do not collect ahead.

I was attempting to renew my TSA membership via the internet. I did a google search for TSA applications and foolishly clicked on the first one. It was site that was imitating the US Government site. I skipped over reading the info as it looked very familiar and filled out the application. It asked for more personal information than I recalled from the first legitimate application I did 5 years ago, and I filled in all the blanks, giving name, address, previous address, passport number etc. I then proceeded to payment and paid 225.67 via my credit card, although the TSA fee is only 85.00. I soon realized my error but it was too late. I cancelled my credit card and signed up with all the credit bureaus to monitor for attempts to open accounts using my info.. I am now disputing the charge with my credit card co.

SCAM- for global entry application. looks legit- comes up first when you do a google search

- Fishers, IN, USA

https://tsa.onlineentrypass.com/ - looks legit, has a "https" and a verified symbol on the site. Didn't notice some typos, and should have wondered about "pink" being an option for eye color. Thankfully my credit card declined the transaction, but these people have my full name and address now.

I wanted to apply online for TSA PreCheck. When I googled TSA PreCheck, this was one of the first sites that came up. Sadly, I thought it was a legitimate step in the application process. They charge $140 as a TSA PreCheck application fee (only to have TSA collect another $85 when the applicant shows up for the appointment). This site does apparently submit an applicant's info to TSA so that a real appointment is generated. However, they are making a lot of money in the process by keeping people from actually easily accessing the TSA site (where a person pays nothing to apply for an appointment). Plus, they now have my credit card information. It is very upsetting.

Fraudulent website posing as TSA Precheck application site. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR INFORMATION. If you did so, immediately contact your credit card company and dispute the charge. Some credit card companies (AmEx) have it flagged as a fraudulent vendor and your card will be declined. Others have not flagged it yet and will let the charge go through. Citibank customer service rep told me they couldn't file a dispute on the charge until it processed (when I called it was still showing as pending), but I was able to dispute it immediately when I went to the Citibank website. Still waiting for it to be canceled (literally typing this about 20 minute after I stupidly fell for the scam), but am hopeful it will be canceled. After I submitted my application and payment, I did receive an email from the company saying it was being processed, but look at this BS line from their email telling you not to contact your credit card company!

"* NOTE: If you do not recognize this transaction / service, please repply this [spelling and grammar error theirs, not mine] email requesting the cancellation of your order and we will refund the fee paid. It is not necessary to contact your bank or the card administrator to request a chargeback. If you request a refund before your order is processed, we will proceed with the cancellation and you will receive 100% of the amount paid."

This is BS. Contact your credit card company IMMEDIATELY!

God, how could I be so stupid! Hope you are reading this BEFORE you fall for the scam, but if not, I'm so sorry. I reported the Google Ad for this company directly to Google in the hopes they will pull it down so others don't get scammed.

Clicked on this site as it was the first one that showed up. Entered my daughter's information and then went to payment and said $140, I knew it was $85 so I clicked out of the site and then googled TSA precheck again. I am leary that I submitted all that information to them, but at least didn't process payment for it. Google should ban that site.

This company is buying Google Adwords Advertising to get top rank in Google search against "how to renew precheck" and then phishing for personal data like passport number, known traveler number and address.

I was applying for TSA PreCheck online for my mother and charged $142.91 for it. She received an appointment and when she went in for it they told her that TSA does not charge online. She had to pay an $85 fee at her appointment location. It seems as though the scammers sent the application information to Universal Enroll.

Was in a hurry and didn't read carefully. Here are the red flags

1. first "advertised" site when searching for TSA pre-check renewal

2. price NOT $85 but $226.69

3. no gov on website

website: tsapre.fast-customs.com

email is invalid: [email protected]

Applied to get TSA for my 3 family members. First site that pops up and the web address appears legit (tsa.onlineentrypass.com) although now I see it should be a .gov. All questions legit. Paid $140 per application. When I received the confirmation email there were some suspicious spelling errors and a reference to the "American Government" which seemed really weird. The next day I received appointment information which also included the notice I would need to pay $85 at the appointment. Then I did the research.

Hopefully the CC company will refund etc, but I'm super annoyed they seem to be continuing to get away with this.

Thought this was legit gov website for TSA Pre-Check renewals, but was wrong. Appears to be known scam, collecting personal travel and CC data. Red-flag should have been the inflated charges ($226).

Always make sure to verify gov-related site first.

This is a "service" that offers help with TSA pre-check but it is not real. Do not click this.

Everything is consistent with this article.

Unfortunately did not notice the signs, asked the same questions TSA website did. I proceeded with payment and my bank immediately caught the purchase and marked as fraud. Same vague email everyone else received with no contact information. Was the first website to pop up when i went to locate the TSA Precheck website to verify my application was still current.

The scam was found by searching global renewal. It was the top google search AD. I thought it would be a reputable site. The site looks like the TSA website and took my money snd my personal information.

I did a search for TSA Precheck and this website was at the top of the list. When I clicked on it, it looked legit. I went through the process of entering my name and address, then had the opportunity to enter the city or zip code of the office I wanted to make my appointment at. The calendar didn't indicate any times. I was required to check the box to indicate that I am not a robot then click on "Submit and Pay". The next screen asked me for my payment info. I knew it was definitely a scam when they were asking for $140 instead of $85. I eventually went to the correct website and was amazed and appaled at how very similar and legitimate-looking the scamming website was. While I'm very uncomfortable about inputting my name and address, I'm grateful that I didn't have to enter my social security number.

I thought I was applying for TSA precheck and didn't realize I was providing know traveler number and passport number and credit info to this organization that was not TSA. I however noted my mistake before submitting payment.
