Received the scam Invoice Notice

Received a $265.00 invoice (20160912) dated 4/7/2023 for the HR Manager's Legal Alert for Supervisors publication for 5 users (user minimum for order). Also received a copy of the Institute of Business Publications W-9 with blurry digital signature (James McCanney(?)) dated 4/17/23 (TIN 81-0554010).

Dated February 27, 2023 to an account number ending on 2638 received an invoice for the Safety Alert for Supervisors publication for 5 users identified as the user minimum order. For $265.00 like everybody else.

Type of a scam Fake Invoice/Supplier Bill

Received an invoice showing we owed $265.00 for HR Manager's Legal Alert for Supervisors, 5 users, 24 issues for 1 year. Says 3 issues have already been emailed. It has a Service To name that is no one in or company. They make it all look very legit but it isn't.

Type of a scam Business Email Compromise

Somehow an abberant order was taken with a Tax Id from a business partnership that no longer exists since 2009. How they retrieved it I am unsure. But they claimed I ordered it but it has no relevance to anything that I do now. I still have clients that recognize my company name as I still DBA with them as a recruiter. Recently I have had to cancel my current credit card due to online scam. I am not interested in their publication nor did I choose it as one to order online. I have called twice to the number for Customer Service 866-572-1352. No one had returned two of my calls. I consider this a scam.
