Closed my account and was supposed to receive a cashier's check in the mail for remaining balance of $134,000 USD

As most of the other reports I am seeing at your website, I too received the exact same postcard with "Refund Notification" on the front in bold letters. It came from "Refund Solutions" at 501 Congress Ave. Suite 150, Austin, Texas 78701. It said my Total Recovery Amount was $ 7,716.40. To respond by 3/30/2022 Call 877-870-0644. The refund source it gave was "Texas Based Public Agency". Case Number : 2217616 Refundee: Brenda Corkran It said my refund is from "lost or forgotten funds, or an over-payment to a "Texas based public agency" and is NOT from the IRS or a loan. Recovery documents will be delivered at their expense, by a mobile Notary Public. Not sure what other info you need from me to prosecute these horrible people, but you can call me at (281)487-7298 Brenda Corkran. My zip code is 77504. Trying to find them online, their website indicated that the domain (?) was, or would be up for sale. No other information was given. While searching Google about scams, I found your website & was shocked to see their name come up, but with "Innovative" in front of "Refund Solutions", but the address is exact as on my card. Thank you. Brenda Corkran

They're not technically a scam or phishing or information. It is a legit company that does actually recover lost funds for you HOWEVER you can do this YOURSELF. You don't need this company to get your funds. But if you don't want to go through the hassle than by all means, use them - just expect them to take a hefty fee from you (a percentage of your funds) for doing it.

If you do a google search for Unclaimed Property and your state, each state has their own way of searching for funds like this. Then just submit the paperwork yourself.

Received postcard stating I had over $3000 in unclaimed funds. They offer to get this money for you at no up front cost from individual. Any fees can be taken from any money they get for you. Postcard included a deadline to respond or funds would be forfeited. It also stated that the source of their information was "Texas Based Public Agency". When you go to the innovativerefundsolutions.com website, there is another link to refundscheduler.com. I did not click any links for fear of exposing my PC\Network to viruses etc. However, it said that once you do this, they will send your "recovery documents" via a mobile Public Notary professionally licensed by the state of Texas. I do not have a picture of the postcard, but there is another report on this site identifying the same scam and they do have a picture of the postcard. Mine is an exact match other than my personal information and dollar amount.

Sends bogus Refund Notification through mail. It's phishing and should be investigated and prosecuted.

My dad texted me and called me about a post card he received about getting lost money refund for a disclosed amount of money. I googled their website and searched them on BBB. Website is incomplete and doesn't give accurate answers. Nor does it give a proper way to contact other than phone number. My parents are older, dad is retired, mom almost there. Luckily my dad knew better to contact me because it seemed too good to be true. Also looked at the Texas Comptroller (sp?) for so the so called "lost funds". Didn't find anything. Wanting to get everyone a warning about this so called "Innovative Refund Solutions".
