[email protected] Reports & Reviews (2)

As R. Thompson before me said, and as you can see from the below email, I was offered a too-good-to-be-true employment offer of $125/hour for 40 hours a week. The actual domain of this company is wearfigs.com, but the email came from [email protected]. The domain exists but goes to a blank webpage - clearly a scam.

- Burbank, CA, USA

I was contacted through my personal email about a freelance design job offer. The scammer was posing as VP of HR for FIGS fashion company. They then proceeded to schedule an appointment with me via Skype on April 16th and conducted the interview from there on my availability April 17th. What was suspicious about this interview was the interview was through chat and not video call. They asked all the professional questions an HR would ask. I answered accordingly. Once finished, I had questions to ask about the company but the interview was cut short. Afterwards on April 18th, I was told to contact them the following morning for an update. I received an offer for the freelance job, but the benefits and pay seem too good to be true. They sent me all the necessary documentation and files that had the FIGS corporate logo, address, benefits, and policies. But in the fine print, employees names did not exist as real people on LinkedIn and also the California Law about termination is wrong. I had a hunch about this and clarified the FIGS application through my fashion industry connections and they too, confirmed that the application and onboarding paperwork is wrong.
