They texted me about a data entry job and I figured it was a scam right away. This is the second time this happened to me so I recognized it right away. I responded telling them I was blocking them.

While applying for different data entry positions, I was initially approached by Amy Overstreet from Genoa Healthcare. After some initial emails, I was given a time to conduct an interview from a different app.



Originally, I was told this would be a video interview; however, it was later reduced to instant messages. The interview was on a Friday.



During the weekend, I reviewed their website and spoke with someone who worked at one of their clinics. The person I spoke with was not part of the scam.

I even checked this particular website.  While Amy seems like a common name among job scammers, I didn't see my particular Amy. I also did not spot anything with Genoa.





The following Monday, I was told that I had the position. I received an offer letter and some documentation. The position was for good (but not outrageous) money, so I was not skeptical (although I was mentally spending it).





This was when the shoe dropped. I received a check for $4950.00. I was skeptical, but this was from an actual bank. I had already checked everything else. I moved some money from my Capital One bank account (I have two checking accounts) and deposited the check. They immediately threw up a few red flags, but I was still crossing my fingers.





The next day, Amy emailed me saying that the bank had told them the funds were sent - and they wanted to know when the money would be available. I advised that Capital One said it would be available on 2/16. They said 2/15 - but I was already getting leery.





On 2/13, the check bounced - and the funds reversed. Capital One put a lock on my account. I have worked out everything with them and sent them everything I had about Amy.





However, while reviewing my email correspondence with Amy - I noticed the email.

It was @genoahealthscare.com (an "s" was added to the email).

Moral of the story - avoid Amy and Genoa Healthscare =  [email protected][email protected] 

I have received this fake offer position from a "real company" but they are pretending to be a real company but this is not a non-profit organization as the offer says,

this company sells agronomy machinery is not a company that help people to stimulate their research and development.

The person contact me was Mary Jewel Thomas. She claim that is the Human Resources Director. Then she stated that she going to send a check to my email and I have to deposit in my personal Bank account to I can access to the money for supplies. The check is a fake Check I call the bank and they confirmed.
