Had a guy call and say he was with Idaho power and they were sending someone over in the next hour to shut off the power if they did not receive payment immediately. He asked me to use zelle thru my bank to send him the money or to use a debit or cash payment at Walgreens or Family Dollar to make the payment to "the business department"

Robo voice stated overdue payment will cause a disruption in service in 30-45 minutes. I chose to speak with a representative to state this was in error. I gave the address for the house the power was going to be disrupted and gave my name. But then the guy on the other end stated I needed to download an app called Zelle to transfer money to them in the next 30-45 minutes or my power would be disruptive. After I asked him for a call back number he hung up on me.

Man said he was disconnecting our power service for nonpayment. (he was difficult to understand)

I knew I had paid our power bills online and while he was talking I looked up our accounts and they were current. He demanded a Zelle check from our bank account for $798.36 or he was having his technician shut our power off and then pay a $1000 deposit to have it turned back on. I finally called him on his bluff and he hung up immediately. The phone number he called from will not even ring through.
