If you plan to do business with them, ONLY PAY with credit card! That way you have recourse. DON'T PAY with cash, check, Zelle, Venmo, PayPal, CashApp, crypto or any other payment mechanism that leaves you without recourse in the event that they fail to meet their contractual obligations.

We just experienced what can only be described as a mafia style shakedown. Got a quote for moving about 25 items to new apartment which were described. Obviously the quote language should have been red flag but movers came and loaded items and demanded $3000 cash. Claimed bulky items cost more. We stated this was a scam and we would call police - the quote language was referenced. They said they were leaving and we could not take our stuff off the truck without payment and they would leave and bring it to the warehouse and charge even more. They would only accept cash or money order. Ran to Publix to get 4 money orders for $500 each. They refused to give the receipt copy. Their demeanor and tone were scary and clearly they knew they were in control. We had all to do to get our stuff moved off the truck and get rid of them as fast as we could. After the shock of being completely hustled we read reviews of others being scammed. Same exact thing. Something needs to be done but we do not exactly have money for a lawyer. Please help.

I was quoted a much lower price for moving furniture be moved from Florida to North Carolina. Once the movers arrived the price changed There different times.
