claimed to be verizon wireless, called from a spoofed number and also sent texts from a registered verizon text line that had previously been used in an authorized store. Said our account had false charges on it and needed to switch over payment methods through our bank and then zelle. Also called using number (347) 667-3735. They had all our information on billing and which lines we used. Told me to put "codes" into zelle to reset the system and receive my refund. Sent through 4 different "representatives" lost 1831.57 through zelle but my bank says the recipient was never registered through a bank so I do not know where my money went or how to file a complaint to zelle or anyone else about this issue. Money was sent and tried to be cancelled in under 20 minutes but my bank said all they could do was flag it. I and the cfpb would not consider this transfer as lawful as it was done under the guise of multiple different lies. I want to know what the next steps I can take to rectify this issue.
