Type of a scam Rental

The listing for a short term, furnished condo was on craigslist. The price was a bit below market. The website for the management company did not come up when I did a search. "Andy James" sent me a link for the website and it didn't seem quite right. Within 10 hours of initial contact I was being emailed papers to fill out and it was explained that my first payment should be wired to the owner of the property and the rest of the payments would be made to the property management company. I looked the company up on the ScamPulse.com site and found another person that had also had some experience with Mr. Andy James.

I second that - this is a scam

Thank you so much for your post above! I was just about to fill out the rental application and thought something was fishy. Andy James sent over the lease agreement and rental application. When I looked up the property management company - golden pmc..there is no address and number. Showed pictures of this beautiful apartment that was too good to be true.

He said his name was Andy James and requested a first month + security deposit totaling $4000.

The website goldenpmc.com was registered in June 20, 2021 despite the website claiming the company was established in 1988. From searching, I found the same phone number on a now-offline website (******************************************************************** which has previously been reported to the ScamPulse.com as having scammed someone with a similar scheme. That website also has a very similar layout and identical language to goldenpmc.com.
