Individual claiming to be Robert Cooper, the Customer Service Manager at Pro-Tech Solutions. I received an email that raised significant concerns. The email, ostensibly from Mr. Cooper, detailed a job opportunity for a Customer Service Officer within their organization. It was emphasized that this position was unrelated to sales, and additional job information was provided in a Description pdf file, which was attached.

The email encouraged me to express my interest by completing an online form, stating that an automated email containing more information had been sent to my email address. It was advised to diligently fill out all fields on the form, as their HR Manager would subsequently contact me for a phone interview. Mr. Cooper indicated that I should contact him if I did not receive the link to the online form.

The remuneration offered was stated as $3,200 per month for part-time and $4,000 per month for full-time positions, with payments made on a monthly basis. Mr. Cooper also offered to address any inquiries via email.

The contact information provided for Pro-Tech Solutions included the following:

Name: Robert Cooper

Title: Customer Service Manager

Address: 355 Lexington Ave, New York, NY 10017, USA

Phone: (888) 765-2095

It is noteworthy that their website, located at https://protechsolutions.info/, was registered in Germany in August 2023. The phone number listed on their website, (888) 765-2095, appeared to be non-responsive, either ringing indefinitely during the day or answering briefly before hanging up after hours. The phone interview come from 718-502-8952 & 718-502-8982. One of these numbers is traceable.

Subsequently, I received a phone call from an individual with a heavy foreign accent, claiming that I had been accepted for the job offer. This marked the commencement of my training, during which I was instructed to communicate via Telegram and their web email at https://business143.web-hosting.com.

Throughout the training period, I was assigned various tasks each day, such as creating a FAQ, conducting competitor research, and corresponding with customers via email (though it seemed these interactions were fabricated). Additionally, I was asked to make phone calls to customers, wherein the person on the other end displayed a distinct and difficult-to-identify accent. It was apparent that my interactions were mainly aimed at gathering and transmitting information to another department, referred to as their technical department.

However, the situation took a concerning turn when I was suddenly instructed to open a company bank account in my local area, purportedly as part of their effort to establish a virtual office in my state. This request included demands for a copy of my driver's license along with a selfie and my social security information. I became even more suspicious at this point and refrained from submitting my personal information. When I questioned this unusual turn of events with the so-called office manager, who was supposedly overseeing the franchise position, I was promptly blocked by this individual.

I received an email after applying for a few positions on indeed.com and ziprecruiter.com. I felt that there were a few red flags in the email (didn't address me in their salutation, just 'Hello,'), so after doing a little due-diligence checking, there are reports of this scam around already. Those reports included that the scammers will put up a website to legitimize their phishing attempts; this one did as well, just a different site than the initial report listed, though the email part was the same. Another red flag: the email and website used different titles (the email said 'Executives Search Director' the website lists Darlene as 'Executive Search Director'), had spelling errors, etc. Small things, but things that stood out to me. The email reads as follows:

Hello,

I hope this message finds you well. My name is Darlene Stewart and I am an Executives Search Director in PE Recruiting Inc. a reputable Global Recruitment Firm. I am reaching out to see if you would be interested in exploring new opportunities.

I immediately did a search on this company and found you folks already knew about them. I have been searching for a job for the past 8 months and it's ridiculous how many of these scams I have run into!</[email protected]>

Message read:

"Hi, I'm Ms.Ruth McInnis, I am the Talent Acquisition Specialist for Sultan Ventures and I'm pleased to inform you that your resume posted online has been reviewed and forwarded to the Management Team of Sultan Ventures for an interview are you available and willing to undergo this interview?"

I rewrote it grammar errors and all.

Like the first post here, I received a text message (on 8/24/23) telling me to reply to the text so they can set up an interview for a remote Data Entry Clerk/Administrative Assistant position because they saw my resume. This text came from someone named Kristen Newson. I never responded to the text, thankfully, because several things seemed off to me. First, their first contact with me was through text message. Every employer who has reached out to me regarding an open position that has seen my resume on a job site has first reached out to me through either the career website or my email address first. I have never received a text from a prospective employer until after I had already emailed them a couple of times, had a phone interview and then agreed to receive text messages from an HR personnel.

The second thing that stood out to me was the pay. The text stated that the pay for the job is $35/hour, twice what I've seen most companies offer. This seemed too good to be true, so I thought I'd try to research the company before replying to the text. I put the phone number into Google and came across the first post from the BBB. I got a text from the same number for a job I never applied to, but from a different name. This definitely sounds like a possible fraud to me.

Because of the first post, I won't respond to the text. I recently accepted a position with a state agency that is sending me all of the equipment I will need for no charge. Jobseekers should be wary of anyone charging them for anything relating to start working for a company.

They contacted me via text message offering a work-from-home job that pays $30.75 per hour and offered an interview the same day. Within just a few hours, I did the interview and was "hired". The interview was done entirely via text on Microsoft teams. Not even a phone call, let alone video call. They asked for my W4, which contains my social security number. They then asked for a photo of my drivers license, which I did not give to them as I began to suspect this was a scam.

Texted me asking me to email them for an interview which i thought was odd. Why wouldn’t they send me an email? Also they didn’t state the company name and there was a typo. I looked up the email and see this. I knew it felt scammy!

He hired me as a personal assistant for 2 days a week

Mr. Malone communicates only through Telegragh app which is just like the scammers.

He supposedly has a set of 4 tasks you can complete to be the Customer Service Officer

The last one has to do with 'the work panel,

which is at: https://business138.web-hosting.com:2096/

use this password: ************ and username:: ******************************************t

True to fill out one application and sent the DL and PASSPORT.

The Email address is: [email protected] Website is: https://atlitpanel.tech/

I was fired by Mr, Malone after not allowing them to put a business in my name:

****** ********** *** ********* ******** *** I think if they put a business in my name I can be sued..

I have recieved 3 PIECES OF MAIL to the person above and the organization. below it.

Wells Fargo and Bank of America were the 2 banks where an account was to be opened.

Wells Fargo was checked and no company exists with that name.

Bank of America was not checked.

If I get sued they will have a problem.

I am trying to hold off because it is not easy starting a business. And no, I have not made anything from this company.

God Bless,
