I was also a victim. I called the school and when I went to look for the original email I did not find it again. I did report it to the FTC website. Then, I went to my local police station with the package - which I never opened. But because I never had any money taken from me they said they could not file a report and stated to return the unopened envelope to the post office and state that I did not order anything from the sender’s address. Also on another note, when I told the school they said to block the email. Then I got a text telling me to follow the instruction but I told her I knew it was a scam.

Wow, I'm very thankful that I found this website on time. I got the same email with exactly the same stuff that you guys have pointed out. At first, I was happy to see such an opportunity, but after a few emails later I notice that something was wrong. Especially because she, the scammer, told me that she and her husband were from England (her husband got promoted and they are moving to my city). The thing was that her grammar was bad! especially for someone that comes from England. Later on, she started to ask me for personal information like my address, phone number, etc. Thankfully I was conscious enough to make a litter google search...

I got this email from my school email, the supposed Dr Ayla needed a personal assistant and now that I doubled checked the email is from an student account not the people that work in the resources center. IDK how these people got my email but they did and I emailed these person from my personal email as requested which I though was really weird, and then I was supposedly hired but there was never an interview or anything, and then this person asked me to purchase some books that they needed for some research they were conducting, and they couldn't do because they were in Canada on vacations, As far as I know you can purchase everything online and I I though that was also very weird, then I got emails asking for my address and phone number, which fortunately I have a PO box so I give that to these person and I was supposedly mailed a check to purchase the books and my wages for these week, also later today I was asked to make a deposit on the supposed books so the person selling them could hold them for purchase, which became a huge red flag because no person with a PhD and money should be asking a student to make any kind of payments to I decided to search up for the number the person message me from and this came up. I knew this was too good to be true. Do not fall for things like that ever, no employer should ever ask for money, !

I to was contacted by Dr. Alya. Fortunately, I caught wind of her scam before I cashed the check. Yesterday 10/22/20 I made it known to her that I know it’s a scam...I would like to know how can she steal my identity because she has my address and name.

She shared 'Collection of my commissions. * Booking appointments with my Clients * Handling and Monitoring some of my Financial activities *Receiving my Monthly Memo from my associates * Mail services (Receive my mails and drop them off at USPS) * Keeping Records and Receiving Research Books

Your basic wages would be $400 per week. I will provide a clear set of instructions for each task I need done as well the funds to cover them. You will be working for 2-3 days for a total for 6-8 hours a week anytime between 8 am-10 pm.

I became suspicious after I received a cheque and my bank told me that my account was restricted. I didn't understand why this was so but I decided to look her up because she hadn't given me any information about what she does exactly and all. After looking up her name I found this website and realized that it's a scam.
