The first time Sonny Davis came up to our house and handed us his business card: Davis sealcoating 'Have It Done Right!' (please note the mis-caps) and offered to seal our blacktop driveway for $2500 since he was also doing our neighbors' pavement. One week later, Sonny Davis came back and offered to seal our driveway for $1450. We decided to take him up on the offer and called Sonny. He did the job and came back the next day to collect the money. We talked to him about the poor job he did. He did not prep the job correctly so there were parts of the pavement that were poorly sealed. We agreed that he would return to do the job correctly since his business slogan is 'Have It Done Right!' He wanted a check for $1000 as a down payment. We agreed. However, Sonny had us write the check in payment to Sonny Davis--INSTEAD of the business 'Davis sealcoating'. We also took a picture of his 'business license' which we later found out is fake business. The license number is registered to someone in Florida.
