My experience is basically like everyone else's I received this check in the mail telling me to cash it and go by American Express $500 Visa cards and I could keep the rest I'm so thankful that y'all posted and told us about the scam and I'm going to pass my information along just as y'all have thank you

Same as other complaints. Sent cashier check $1,850. Asked to go to Walgreens and CVS in NM and buy three American Express cards at $500. Each. Take picture front and back. Etc. I called the police. IF YOU RECEIVE PRIORITY MAIL FROM S.C. with check and instructions it is a SCAM.
My concern is how do they keep using the USPS to run this scam because it is fraud.

They contacted me thru text message. Asked me if I was interested in survey work, they were supposedly from Kroger/Food4less said they would be sending my 1st assignment and payment . Then I received this envelope with check for $1850 but the assignment said it was for Walgreens/CVS but the check was from Molina Healthcare of Arizona inc.

How can they continually get away with this ans the law does nothing about it. Honestly I thought because its a cashier check it would be legit How can they be stopped ? I know a few people that are in very bad shape and they would probably deposit it and I guess they would go to jail

I received a check for $1,850.00 asking me to be a secret surveyor. I was to go to Walgreens and CVS, purchase American Express gift cards for $500 each time. Take pictures of the cards front and back and email my "findings" to [email protected]. They also wanted me to text my report to (469)993-0029. The check and the instructions came to me through the mail with the check made out in my name as the payee. I thought using the US mail in this way would be considered fraud. My local police department didn't seem to be too concerned and told me as I didn't work for the company on the check to just mail it back. I don't think I am going to do that, I think maybe I should just shred all of it.

I received a check for $1950 to buy three gift cards and I keep the rest. I was told once I bought him to scratch off the back and send a picture to an email address.

I received a text message supposedly from Whole Foods Market asking me to be a secret shopper in order to receive monetary compensation. Reluctantly, I signed up (gave my information) and then received a priority mail package with a "Customer Service Evaluation Tool" & a check from Seacoast Bank, Stuart, FL, for $1950.52. The instructions were basically to take the money from the check and purchase 3 $500 American Express gift cards. The instructions then said to scratch off the silver scratch off area. I was to then capture the image of the cards front and back to send to them in addition to an image of the receipt.I was instructed to never let the store know that I was a "Secret Shopper" and if asked by them I was instructed to say "no". Once I had all the information (images) I was to text and email it to -346-200-2388 and [email protected].

I was sent a Cashiers Check for $1950.52 through USPS Priority Mail. The letter tells you to deposit the check, buy 1-2 American Express Cards totaling $1500.00 from a list of stores on their flyer. Then scratch the the silver area on the card, take pictures (front and back) and then text and email information. ***DO NOT DEPOSIT the $$$ or fall for this scam!!!***

I received either an email or text (don't remember) offer to be a secret shopper. I filled out an application. Then I received a check for $1900 to be deposited in my bank and a request to go and buy gift cards totaling $1500.
