I had applied for a job on indeed.com. I got an email from this "company" letting me know that I was invited to a virtual interview on the Teams app. I went to my virtual interview with "Tiffany Perrine"and was told I was hired with the company. They then emailed me a check for $1950 and told me to deposit it into my bank and then use the vendor that they told me to use to go buy a laptop. They wanted me to go ahead and purchase it with my own money prior to the check clearing my bank, but thankfully I didn't do that. I waited for it to clear. They were pressuring me the whole time to go ahead and purchase the laptop so I can get to working ASAP. My bank contacted me two days later to let me know that the check didn't clear and that it came back as a fraudulent check. When I brought this to Tiffany's attention, she blocked me and disappeared.
