Compliance Filing Division Services Reports & Reviews (35)

This company sends a bill to LLC's for an annual report fee $95. They are based in North Beach Miami Florida and send fake bills to companies in other states.

I just got a letter from them in the mail on 02-10-22 stating that I am required to put up a labor law poster in my office and pay them $105 for it. You can buy these posters for $10 off other websites if you an legally obligated to have one up. We are not required to have one.
Don’t send Compliance Filing Division Money

I received a letter from Compliance Filing Division services saying I needed to respond by 2/12/2022 and pay 145 including 85.00 worth of fees for filing the annual report but what's funny is that my annual report isn't due till 6/30 and they think Im going to pay them for something I can do myself online and it costs me only 60.00. lol. This is a scam guys. Go to the secretary of state and file your own annual reports and dont get scammed out of 145.00 lol.

I'm a biz owner who got thiss mailing about an "annual report compliance" and fee of $95 that looked official but was from Florida, which made no sense since I don't live there> READ THE FINE PRINT.

Received a letter claiming we owed fees on our LLC to Secretary of State. It’s just a scam to get you to pay them to file otherwise free paperwork. They get around it being fraud by including an asterisk, but it’s clearly written in a way intended to trick those not paying attention.

Got a letter in the mail saying we owe then $115 for employment posters and says if we do not pay within 60 days, we will be in violation of this letter.

I received a document in the mail from this company for an "Annual Report Compliance" stating their services were a lesser price from the Secretary of State (SOS) website ($60), and they will assist in filing my annual report for a fee ($85). They also stated that I needed to respond by a specific date. I knew my information was up to date but I double checked anyway and everything was fine. If you get one of these letters verify with the SOS first before losing any money.

C F Division Services, or Compliance Filing Division Services, located in North Miami, Florida, somehow gain access to business information filed for LLC or Incorporation status with their respective states. They send a letter that looks like a government form of some kind with very convincing font layout and bar codes. They appear to be warning you that you must comply with state laws for filing your business. In very small print, they mention that it's an advertisement. They have a "No Postage Necessary" return envelope. I suggest stuffing it with their original envelope and writing SCAMMER and sending it back to them. Be sure to remove any of your information.

These people are worse than Robo-callers. They look very real and it's exceedingly deceptive. Please be sure to read every detail of any and all business related materials. And please report scams to help others.

I registered my LLC on 12/27/21. I received a mail from this company "C F Division Services" telling me "your business is required by federal law to post a current compliant labor law poster" At first glance, this looked real. Especially because they included "Federal law 29 " and the penalties in the letter. So that would frighten anyone. No one wants to go to jail when you can just pay $105. right? lol

I was researching why I needed a labor law when I haven't launched my business and also do not have any employees. Upon my research, I found out I do not need a poster because I have no employees. Not only that, the government will issue you one for free. All you have to do is apply for it.

I am hopeful this will save others.

We have recently formed an LLC and so assumed there would be additional paperwork coming. This company used scare tactics citing Federal Law 29 which requires posters in the workplace or “potential fines in access of 7,000 (sic)” They sell the required posters for $105, so at first reading it seemed like a good deal. But closer reading shows that cost is actually just for their “processing fee” and they admit the posters are in fact free from the Secretary of State. My first impulse to send them a check was just that - impulsive and ignorant. I hope others who receive their mailings read the details more carefully.

The Compliance Filing Division offers assistance to small businesses to register their name and business. They perform no service that is not readily available through the legitimate state offices.

Online, they present themselves to appear as a government function, and alter web search engines to appear higher in the search list than official government offices.

When the nature of the business became apparent to me, I exited their website neither authorizing nor selecting to use their service. A few days later I received a bill for services in the mail, and again, the invoice was presented in a deceptive way so as to appear as a legitimate government office function.

I recently registered an LLC with the State of West Virginia. At the same time I received my business registration certificate in the mail, I also received another mailing addressed to my business stating that I needed to pay a $105 fee for a "Poster Fee" describing labor laws that should be displayed in the workplace. It listed my business ID number, had my correct entity type, and was addressed to my new business. It appeared to be related to the filing and stated I should mail the form in by December 7, 2021. It was extremely misleading and I called the state to verify it was not a required "fee" but instead an advertisement to purchase a poster. The description of the purchase being a "fee" makes this a scam. If a business needs to display a labor poster, they are available via a free download on the Department of Labor's website.

Received a mail notice from this company with intimidating wording, regarding a "current complaint labor law poster". THERE IS NO SUCH POSTER. Of the posters available at the Department of Labor, they are FREE OF CHARGE and as per the Labor Dept.'s website there are "No citations or penalties for failure to post". This company wanted me to pay $105 for a NON-EXSISTANT POSTER!! Please protect yourselves and make sure to verify ALL "invoices". There was also a 'QR' code. I STRONGLY DISCOURAGE you from launching it. I'm sure it's nefarious and will still your identity.

They are charging $105.00 for Labor Law Compliance Posters. You can get these posters for free. They mention fines being imposed and use scare tactics to get the unknowing new businesses to send them money.

This is not a government requirement. This person is sending out bills to make it appear they need to payout additional money to have their LLC legal. I know for a fact this is a scam and this person should be reprimanded for this.
