Lauren Winter claimed to be Head of HR for a recruiting agency and inquired about a Director of Vendor Management position. I was asked to send my resume if interested. After sending my resume, I received an email back saying my resume was not in an ATS compliant format, and I needed to go to atscompliantresume.com to reformat my resume and send her back the reformatted resume. The website charges $15 or $17 to "reformat" my resume. This is as far as I got since I thought it odd that they would request a potential candidate spend money anywhere in the interviewing process. After a quick online search, I found that this is a common scam to get job seekers to spend money on unnecessary services.
