I and someone else unknown ([email protected]) received an email from a person stating their name was “ms. Emily wright! From email “[email protected]” along with a mobile message stating that Ms. Emily Wright was contacting me. It was mentioned that access to Microsoft Teams could be obtained using the email [email protected] or a link to speak with "Mr. Wendy Griffin." It was claimed that my information was obtained from Indeed or LinkedIn. It was suspected that this was a scam, so I chose to play along. The interview was noted to have lasted longer than 15 to 30 minutes. Despite knowing it was a scam, I continued to engage and provided some fake information while omitting certain details. Requests were made for my full name, email, complete home address, phone number, and a "professional reference," all of which were not provided. Additionally, a request for my bank name was made, but it was communicated that no information would be shared until their legitimacy could be verified.
