Ceva Logistics Reports & Reviews (18)

I was contacted by a recruiter through text message stating that he pulled my profile from indeed for a data entry work from home position. Sent my info to hiring manager by the name of Robinson Jefferson. Sent me different company check for the position via email. Looked ok so started deposit. Messaged my bank and had it stopped stating looked fishy. No damage to my bank account thankfully. CEVA LOGISTICS does check out on company site but not for how they do business. I told hiring manager to send funds directly to equipment distributer for work if that will go through. If not then Yes, scam! Grr

Yep, same story, same experience. Fortunately I noticed this was a scam before I went any further than emailing them my resume and phone number. Clearly, they use terrible grammar and offer obscene amounts of money for an entry level "data clerk" position. They asked for my resume multiple times to be sent to two alternate emails outside of Indeed, saying that the Indeed website was down so they couldn't open the file. These people are disgusting. They should be prosecuted.

This is a entry level position. There is no way the starting pay would be $30.95. I have attached a screenshot of the text message that I received.

I knew it! Come on starting pay $30.75/hr! I should've known better than to entertain these [censored] and waste my time with them! They did the same thing to me as many of the above statements and when I got sent the email with the job offer, it had red flags of being a scam! It all started with a Crystal Carter saying they received my application via Indeed, but I couldn't find anything that I applied there. I then was told to contact Maria Marced now via Skype to do my interview. I told them both that I was not home and on the road but they didn't care or acknowledge the inconvenience of this whole mess. The whole night I did my research and was told to report on Skype at 8 am today to speak with someone again. I was asked if I received my job offer email and I told her no. When I looked for the email it was in my spam folder so I told "Maria Marced of Ceva" through Skype, that I will need to have my advisor review the email and documents before proceeding. She tried to reassure me with "it's real and she understands, and bless you" jargon, but when I told her that I will listen and not agree to anything until I have everything reviewed, she said, "oh well..." What a waste of time. I sent the email to Ceva Logistics for them to see what these pieces of [censored] are doing using their name.

I hope this helps someone else and don't waste your time with these fools!

Thank you everyone that reported their experiences, the reason for me writing mine. If it's too good to be true, it probably is! ~Aloha

I received a text message this morning after applying for several job on Indeed.com, saying that my resume fits the job description and they want to hire me. I was to type "YES" for more information. The first red flag was the hourly rate of $29/hour when I am entry level. After typing Yes for more information, I was told to download the Whatsup app to correspond with the Hiring Manager (second red flag). That is when I Googled this company to see if they were legit and found these reviews! Thank you so much for starting this! I am not naive, but am desperate for a job, so If there was nothing here, I may have fallen for it.

This company texts me after I had applied for a dozen jobs on indeed. Before replying, I did my research and found out that they are scamming people. Since I had not replied to them, I am one of the lucky ones. But letting people know, they are still at it.

I wish I had kept the text to be able to provide the number also. Good thinking!

Aug 15 I received a text message for Gary Wagner telling me that my resume had been reviewed via Indeed for the Data Entry Clerk position 30.75 hr. and to respond if I was interested.

Of course I did and he then stated my "interview" would be conducted online via instant messenger, and asked if I had Skype or Telegram.
I chose to do Telegram and he told me the interview would be conducted with Anthonia James.

I went on to do this said interview with Anthonia where I was asked questions about my job history, why I was best fit for the position etc..

Once I completed the "interview" I was told to wait while my questions were inputted and send to the Head of the Dept. to see if I qualified for the position. After a few minutes I got the message telling me that I had gotten the job.

This is when I was asked for my address, to send me a check to purchase the equipment needed for the job... I gave an old address and telephone number to play along in order to see where and how they were going to take it. After I provided that information they wanted a photo copy of the front and back of my driver's license.
As to which I said that I didn't feel comfortable sending that information via instant message and wanted to see if I could provide it when I received the paperwork.

The following day they messaged me back and asked when I would be able to start, after responding with a date they asked if I had a mobile banking app on my phone so I could deposit the check with it once I received it.
Which I said I did not since my personal bank didn't have one yet.
They told me that they would send me an Email with a photo of the front and back of the check that I would need to print off and take the photo to deposit it on the app.
I once again told them that I didn't have an app, so they said they would mail the check to me...

Then they asked for a photo copy of my license AGAIN, which I said I already told them I wasn't comfortable providing that info. So they said they send me an email with paperwork that would need to be printed off, filled out, then scanned and emailed back to them.

I got the email and haven't opened the PDF's just because I would prefer to not get a virus on my computer, but I wanted to share my experience since it seems that this is still an ongoing scam.

I also reached out to Indeed to report the Job but of course, when I went to look up the job (because I did click on it and apply via Indeed) I couldn't find anything about my applying to it.

I too received an e-mail and IM invite, went through " Interview " and eventually the sent a check today to buy equipment. Fortunately I had researched this scams. They sent a Bankers Cheque asking me to take a screen shot of the front and back of the cheque when I deposit it. They wold have gotten my bank info and my ID details. Shame on them scam bugs. CEVA LOGISTICS is a legit company being used by these thugs.

Thanks for your info! Luckily, I just barely do the research now and found all these helpful info from you guys here. First, I got an email from Bruno Hernandez saying it’s Ceva logistics, to contact David Black for briefing/ online interview and then I went through interview in Telegram with David Black. I received another email telling me to fill out my paperwork. But I didn’t do it yet. I will stop from now, it’s a scam.

They message me just like anyone else. Went through the whole interview process and came back with the clear. Now they want photos of SSN and state ID. I asked if passport is ok, they said no social card is needed for the number. Not going to respond to them. Is there a number to respond for these people?

They got me too - went they all the hoops and then wanted to email me checks - sent photos of the whole conversation

On June 17,2021 I received an text message from some one going with the name Randy Fisher and asking if I had whatsapp or telegram and I said yes and he told me the Hr manager would reach out to me on telegram and have an interview so someone going with the name Hughes Paul message me on telegram, asked me question about what do I see working for the job and more. While I was replying back I was searching the company I see the company is legit but I don’t see neither of the two names that messaged me. I did more searching and while I search I’m still replying back but I’m asking question like while telegram will it be another way like zoom or anything to have an interview he said “ I will update you on that” that was a red flag to me because why update me you should know. Then they sent me my offer letter & W-4 Form which I was not filling out at all because it seemed so off from the beginning. We have 33 messages all together and they seem like they are a real person working with the company but warning just be careful and don’t give them information that can’t be looked up online like social or anything. They are scammers and after me searching some more I found this page and it’s the same two names and a few more.

Did they send anyone else a check to cash out to purchase the equipment?

Same thing happened to me but a different name of course , once WhatsApp was brought up I instantly knew it was a scam .

I received a call from a person who said they from Ceva Logistics and their names are listed a George Flores Head of Operations, Olivia Durkin Human Resources Generalist, Richard Lukesh Hiring Manager. Sent a doctored offer letter with company's logo at the top along with a W-4 form. I was very skeptic and did a lot of research to find a human resource number to speak to someone but only could find a warehouse number. Be careful of these scammers. Do your research before signing or sending any personal information.

On 20th of May. The following numbers contacted me: +1 (313) 915-5401 / +1 (209) 433-5901 / +14702919563 pretending to be CEVA Logistics. They said it was David Back the HR Specialist. Do not fall for this scam. Take a screenshot of all conversations & email them to CEVA Logistics so they can find them.

- El Cajon, CA, USA

a person claiming he is David Back who works as a HR for Ceva Logistics got hold of my application for a job which I have applied for using Indeed .

On the 8th of March 2021 I was asked to contact David Back through WhatsApp to conduct an interview through the App which I did and it took about 45 minutes, he used lots of professional maneuvers to steer me in his direction while I was thinking I am seriously talking to the real David Back who works there.

Asked me about my name, address phone number and name of Banks I deal with. I gave all the info but no account numbers and no social security was given. I also gave him my e mail address.

He agreed to pay me 87K a year plus benefits then started asking about whether I can deposit checks via mobility. I stopped, started wondering, opened LnkedIN only to find out that the real David Back at real CEVA is advising all network people to watch for the crook.

When I opened the LinkedIN search for David, saw a whole lots of people being scammed just like me. I sent the real David Back all the info for him to report to the company security department. But please from your side you need to look into it as well.
