A news article from Fox News showed an ad for keto diet pills that were endorsed by Shark Tank. I clicked the link to get to the landing page. I filled out the demographic info to find out the cost to place an order. After seeing the cost, I exited the landing page. I was sent a text after 30 minutes of abandoning my cart offering a 25% discount if I completed my order. I clicked the link in the text, clicked to activate the discount and saw a reduced price from what I originally saw before abandoning my cart. I entered my shipping address and my debit card details. I received a message that said a confirmation email would be sent shortly. I checked my bank account transactions and saw the amount charged was $50 more than I what I authorized. I checked my emails to see if the confirmation came through and it didn’t get one. I went to go back to the landing page to find contact information for the company and the landing page was removed and no longer accessible. I eventually received an email that said my order was processed and was being shipped but it did not include an itemized receipt of the amount paid. This company is falsely claiming affiliation with a show, not providing confirmation of purchase, and charging consumers more than they agree to pay without explanation
