Candor Medical Imposter - Employment and Equipment Purchasing Scam Reports & Reviews (2)

I believe that a Facebook account was hacked. The person was in a private Facebook group with me and posted about a Data entry job. I asked her questions and she told me she had been working for them for three years and gave me a link code to contact them. I was asked to download the Telegram app for a better protection of our information. They asked if they could interview over the app. They asked questions and I responded. They were standard questions that made sense for a remote job including asking my mobile phone company. This made more sense when they let me know about the equipment that they would be providing me with including a MacBook Pro, a laser printer, a scanner, a new iPad Pro, fax machine and laminating scanner. They said that the iPad Pro was the only thing that the vendors did not have in stock but it as fine because I could order it through my mobile carrier and I needed a new line anyway. This way they would be able to reimburse me each month for the service and device. After I overnighted it to NY through fed ex and it was confirmed that it was received, they had me purchase gift cards so they could easily install software. I didn’t understand why so I checked back with the person on Facebook. She said that yes-this was the process and that she was reimbursed for it all so I shouldn’t worry. The company also said that I would receive an additional $750 for each task completed during this time. So I did get the gift cards-(please don’t judge). The next day they messaged me and let me know that the iPad I sent didn’t have the correct amount of data storage. I was upset and didn’t understand why they told me to get the wrong ipad. I specifically purchased what they asked for. They explained that they recently upgraded their software and so they needed more space for all of the software. I needed an iPad with 1 Terabyte. Same thing-get a new line, get the device and contact them. I did get a second device but I told them that I wouldn’t send it until I got the other one back. They told me that the vendor would only be able to send me one shipment of equipment. I said I would pay for the shipping. They said that is not how it works. I told them I was no longer interested in working with them and they told me that it would be $750 to ship me back my equipment.

+1

applied for a date entry job -- received the position - said I had to by an ipad and unfortunately I did and sent it to them - they asked for $450 installation fee - then I knew it was a scam - i asked for my ipad back and she said it will cost me $650 to get it back -- this is theft and I will pursue as such
