The scammer advertised a pair of shoes for a really low price under the name “Belro”. I bought a pair. I started getting charges on my checking account for miscellaneous amounts. When I would run down a phone number for the charges, I was told that it was for a membership fee. The fees were about 3x-4x the price of the shoes. I never joined anything or agreed to additional charges. When I protested, I was told that the charges would be reversed. The charges come through under different company names. The latest phone number is: 1-850-724-9257.
