I posted my car for sale at bestcarfinder.com and within 2 days I received several offers but they were all sketchy. They asked for my full name and address; wanted to pay by check and have the car picked up.

I was helping my husband sell his vehicle online to bestcarfinder.com. I was scammed by a person claiming to be "Alex" and I asked this person where he found my ad and where he was from. He told me "bestcarfinder.com" and from New York. This person was sending me a check for the car and then he was going to hire a moving company to transport the car. Then, I asked when to expect the check and no response for days. I finally got a text message from this person and said it would be in the mail. Then weeks went by and still nothing in the mail. I finally said I am selling this car somewhere else, then I had a quick response to getting me the check. By January 4th, 2019, the check came via fed ex and after the delivery, the same number saw I had received the check. The seller demanded me to do what the instructions told me to do to get the car. The Check was confirmed by the bank of the cashier's check name and it was fraudulent. I want to warn anyone out there to never except or give out the personal address to compromise your own safety.
